Films that have made you cry, or have put a lump in your throat

You would be, its always been my long held belief that Walt Disney hated children. Look at Dumbo!! To this day I cannot watch that scene with Dumbo and his mum, the one where she's cradling him in her trunk singing to him, but she's been locked up.

All the happy endings in the world can't make up for that sort of trauma :D

Cinema Paradiso - I first saw it when I was 17 and was mortified by how much it made me cry

Rabbit Proof Fence - one of the best Australian films ever, but absolutely harrowing.

The Notebook - I cried my eyes out on a flight from Singapore to Sydney watching this! Just when I thought I couldn't cry anymore I would well up again. It was seriously embarassing.

Mississippi Burning - a fantastically powerful film, but incredibly sad

I watched In America the other day. Great performances from Paddy Considine and Samantha Morton (good Irish accents from two English people incidentally) and the kiRAB. Needless to say, I blubbed like a baby.

Jacob's Ladder...:o Just does something funny to me...
The Green Mile, very depressing, but great movie.
Bladerunner, doesn't bring out the tears but still leaves me feeling melancholy....I'm a bit of a sap...

I always cry at:
Jack & Sarah
Forrest Gump - at Jenny's grave
Brveheart - the end when he sees his wife moving through the crowd and his frienRAB are crying hoping he'll say mercy!
any animal films are guaranteed to get me going - lassie, black beauty, incredible journey, watership down

the last ever episode of mash - i pretty much cry all the way through it!

stepmom
beaches
steel magnolias

there are tons of films that make me cry! i'm just a big softy!

I like the bit where the elephant man has been missing and then comes back to the hospital. Anthony Hopkin's face when he hears the news that he was back made me cry.

Also the scene in Breakfast at Tiffany's where Audrey Hepburn throws the cat out of the car, and then they go and find it together - that cat always makes me cry!

My Girl, Titanic, The Notebook, Armageddon, The Green Mile, Moulin Rouge....the list is endless! I love a good film, i find that even if its a happy ending, i'll most likely shed a tear cause i'm happy! i'm soooooo bad lol

I do remember this broke my heart while i watched it.

But after years of being told about the film and reading the book years ago i finally watched Schindler's List. What a brilliant film, it was cold and very cruel. I wont watch it again but a very interesting film.
