Films that have made you cry, or have put a lump in your throat

No one has mentioned Edward ScissorhanRAB!!

EVERY TIME I see that film I bawl endlessly... Think the catalyst for me is when the townspeople turn on him and the girl says "Run, Edward".

And the end... him sealed off in the castle, alone for the rest of his life dreaming about the girl he loved and lost...aww.. nearly set me off again....

Schindler's list is the only film that gets me, partly because it is factual, rest because its just so well made, caught the last hour or so when it was on last week.

Brief Encounter. Perfect. Always at the end when the husband says to Celia Johnson, 'Thank you for coming back to me.'

It's a Wonderful Life. Seen it countless times and still.........

Chaplin's City Lights also made a huge impression on me.

ET.

The Dambusters.

Also bawled over a version I saw one Christmas of Black Beauty. Nineties film I think.

Yes E.T everytime with me also :D My kiRAB laugh at me.

Also
DUMBO
THE GREEN MILE
FREE WILLY :o :o (THE ONE ABOUT THE WHALE!)
WATERSHIP DOWN

I think it must be sometimes the music in films with me. I mean I used to get a lump in my throat when Lassie or Black Beauty started when I was akid.

The Ryan White Story - Story of a young boy with aiRAB. His case got national attention when his school expelled him when they learned about his disease.

He was befriended by many celebrities including Michael Jackson, Elton John, Phil Donahue and Elizabeth Taylor, AIRAB activists themselves.

What made this worse was the fact that days after watching the film Ryan died.

I'm not allowed to watch it again, or so my best mate says... we were on holiday in LA last year, and she went outside to call her boyfriend, while I flicked through the TV channels. I found My Dog Skip which was in the last TEN minutes, and by the time my mate came back to our room she thought something awful had happened on account of the state of me crying!

Millions of scenes, but the first to come to my mind is a young and beautiful Natalie Wood in 'Gypsy', singing 'Little Lamb'. I can't watch it!!!

I too have cried at a lot of films and tv programs (the music usually starts me off).

But films that have had me in wracking sobs are:

Pay it forward
Leon
Ghost
Pretty Woman ("Princess Vivienne")
Fluke (pretty much sobbed my heart out from start to finish)
Untamed Heart
Armageddon (Liv Tyler crying at the monitor)
An Officer and a Gentleman

The list is endless........

I cry at most things...even the old Heineken advert when the snowman in the globe was crying..
But the bit that always gets me is in Love Actually when Emma Thompson gets a CD instead of the necklace and just dissolves but doesn't let anyone know..
