Film Endings

What sort of film endings do you like? Do you like ones that end and tell you exactly what happened, or do you like ones that leave something for you to think about?

The only one I can think of like that at the moment is The Rule of Attraction, where the final scene is Paul riding off on his motorbike and says something like: "The only thing I know is..."

So, which do you prefer? Or do you like something entirely different? :)
 
Sad endings, like House of Flying Daggers... :(

It is also such a beautiful film with a beautiful (but sad) ending. I liked how it started snowing, and how Jin sang to Mei the same song she sang to him in the start. Awww!! :(
 
i thought alien Vs predators ending was good. they let you think for yourself what is going to happen. the way they left it they could make a second one.
 
Just a thought.... maybe a spoiler warning in the title? But then again you've gotta be a bit of an idiot to come into this thread and not expect spoilers.

Donnie Darko's ending was good, until the music was heard everywhere.
 
i did notice a few eddting that could have been done but when your at the movies you dont notice them kinda stuff.

i loved the movie tho lol. i got the extream edtion dvd soon as it came out.
 
I hope your joking, or if serious at least under 14 years old.

I hate when a movie enRAB really suddenly, you see the screen go dark, the credits come up and you sit there thinking "is that it?"
 
Surely you watched the original trilogy and predator 1 and can see that by comparison they ruined AvP big time. It had a good trailer though, albiet with the shitty slogan "who evers wins, we lose"
 
i have got predator1 and 2 on dvd and i got all the alien movies. i felt predator 2 wasnt that brill the first predator is much better.

i know what you mean they could have used a better slogan for alien vs predator.
