Film Endings

Can I just add, I've just watched Monsters Inc (I have a three year old daughter) and that has one of the nicest endings of any movie I've seen - brought a tear to my eye! Just lovely.

Although it was not a good movie, the ending to Blair Witch Project was very effective. I didn't get it until I was half way out of the cinema but it spooked me for days! A bit sad, I know :D

Carrie (that hand!)
Witchfinder General (brutal)
The Goonies (the galleon sailing out to sea)
The Wicker Man (burning a virgin)
 
Best film ending i like is the end of The Good The Bad & The Ugly when Clint Eastwood shoots Guido down who then gets up and shouts " Hey blond you know what you are, just a dirty son of a ......(then strange sound that I don't know how to describe & theme music kicks in before he finishes sentence) it's a classic has to be seen to understand what i mean!
 
They put Boo's shredded door back together and Sully opens the door, hears Boo say "kitty" and then has the most fabulous smile on his face. It just warms the cockles of my heart whenever I see it, which is every 3 hours at the moment, my daughter won't watch anything else and she's laid up with chickenpox so I haven't got a choice!! :D
 
The endings of both Seven and Wicker Man really left me shocked - fabulous! I hear that there is going to be a Hollywood remake of The Wicker Man this year - please, let it not be true. Don't mess with a classic!!!

The French film, Manon des Sources (sequel to Jean de Florette). Loved both films, and the ending of Manon had me bawling like a baby for about half an hour after the final credits.
