Film 2010

Ross was the most objective film reviewer I've ever seen in a mainstream show.

He didn't always maintain it 100% it's true, but this new show is 100% subjective.

They don't review films, they tell you what they personally felt about them.

yuck.

Whatever happened to Tom Brook's Talking Movies? I loved that show! But i don't see it on nowadays. Did it get the axe? Always wonder what happened to it.

I bet theres a few tvs damaged with things being thrown at them with her on ! annoyance is the understatement of the year , and worse still the media critic she has exchanges of gibberish with  ! ...JR wasnt perfect but at least he was interesting ! :) ...Like in the BTTF review i wish they could send CW back to 1955 and leave her there ! :)

The truth is JR and his poor voice are long gone - Claudia will be on less than 10% what that goon was paid and hopefully it will increase viewer share.

Yes CW can be sugary sweet - but prefer that anyday to vinegar.

Absolutely love her, I think she's cool and quirky, amazing style, and just different. A complete breath of fresh air to all those tweeny clones a la Holly, Fearne etc. :) Is it mostly guys that don't like her?

You can get away with that affected scatty, ditzy demeanour until your late-twenties at best. It sits particularly uncomfortably on a woman fast approaching 40 (but looking about 50). I don

I don't think the BBC will agree with you there. Ratings for the show actually increased in the second week, from 1.1m to 1.26m. More like an "unmitigated success" when you consider that Ross only used to get around 750k. 1.26m is pretty damn good for a show that runs on past 11pm.

I don't really get the Winkleman hate either really, she seems fine to me. So what if she's 40 acting 20, i'd rather have a bit of energy in the presenting. My only real problem with the show is the three "sub-reviewers" (The Empire guy, the up herself woman, and the kid) and that pointless Top 5 feature.

Well I am a bloke - and I like her. I agree that she is a terrific broadcaster with a unique and interesting style. She does not fall into one of the typical stereotypes for a woman presenter (babe, mum or dragon) and I for one am grateful.

What a load of sexist twaddle. Why should women not be able to be themselves when approaching 40?

Well viewers disagree I'm afraid, figures are well up on JR Film show. I don't think she's ditzy, just kind of kooky which I personally think she is naturally, anyways clearly you hate her, so no point trying to explain why I like her. :)

I thought last week was an ok start but really struggled this week. I've tired of Winkleman already so it'll be sky+ and the fast-forward button for me from now on. anyone who users the word "wowsers" in conversation is guaranteed to irritate the hell out of me.

liked the back to the future lookback but the programme has a very serious problem in that everyone on it is coming across as completely self-obsessed and suffering from major delusions of their own self-importance. no wonder they keep mentioning twitter:D

It makes me realise I tuned in to film (insert year) for the news, the interviews, the behind the scenes and retrospectives. the opinion of Baggy Norman or Wossy was the least important part.

On that basis, I'm not sure how many more weeks I'll last.

It would not be surprising the programme got an increase in viewers in it's first few episodes.

Even ITV Daybreak did ok at first.

You also have to consider that rubbish TV often gets a good audience.

Judged on it's own merits it's just not very good, the sort of thing you could see anywhere since it's obviously cheap. Does the TV world really need more opinions on stuff passed off as "reviewing"?

I watched a bit of the first and all of the 2nd and it's goodbye from me. (And I like the ClauRABter)
