Film 2010

I concur wholehearted with your comments! i certainly dont mind change but the BBC has desended the new show into a reality type chat show ! at the end of the day we want films reviews not chit chat and boring chit chat at that ! whats gonna be next? viewers voting in for their favourite film clip at a premium rate charge ! CW and the media guy were talking so fast it was like a conversation with the chipmonks ! :) hopefully the BBC will see sense and bring the show back into a simpler format otherwise i and many others wont be watching it !

It depenRAB on the quantity of those complaints. BBC aren't going to change the show based on the comments of a few people. If they get enough of a reaction or the ratings are completely awful, I'm sure they'll change the show.

Pretty good I thought. Conversational and live. Most importantly I don't want the reviews to be based on whether the lead actor is due to appear on your chat show the following week.

Thumbs up from me.

Saw this repeated at the weekend, and I actually liked it. I much preferred it to JRs version which was well.....dull.
The interview with Knightley, Carey etc, was SO embarassing, Jeez they were coked off their nuts, they must have died watching it back. :D
I think like others it could do with a some tweaking but for a first show of a new format, it did really well IMO.
I also tune into Kermonde on the Culture show too, so all bases covered.

I thought it was OK-ish. The proof of the pudding for me is whether I find myself in agreement with the reviewers. I like Pixar stuff, so won't take much notice of "whatsernames" opinions. For reference, I found my tastes coincided with Barry Norman, but don't match up so well with Mark Kermode (but I enjoy his rants!) so it will be a case of seeing whether I enjoy films that CW et al recommend before I decide whether F2010 is a worthwhile watch.

Pretty pss poor I thought.

Tried to be.. Kermode & Mayo + Yoof + Empire + about half a dozen other things.

Would have worked better recorded and edited rather than live, the interview with Garfield + pals was cringeworthy, the Top 5 was cack and Winkleman can't read an autocue.

And why the obsession with tweets?

I also prefer the new format to JR - who is a marmite presenter. I know that he has a talent which a lot of people like, but I certainly never took any notice at all of his film recommendations

Kermode also has a more concise film review slot on the BBC News channel. It goes out at 5:45pm on Fridays, and I think that it may also be repeated later in the evening.

It was fine. It wasn't any worse than the usual Ross show.

I wish they'd get more than 2 people to discuss the films though. It should be more like TWiT (http://twit.tv/twit) with Claudia as the main host who can still put her opinion in.

Then they can rotate the guests each week, so we're not stuck with one guy we may or may not hate.

Wot the hell kinda influence was Winkleman and her side kick under?
Enthusiasm - yes. Hyper-discussion-frenzy-for-no-reason ... no thanx.
And why LIVE - wot did it bring other than a few tweets.
Trying to be edgy just made it look like a scraped together hyperactive mess

Not a big fan of Pixar? No offence, love but your opinion is officially invalid

Oh, and Claudia Winkleman? She's lush. I'm sure she'll do okay

Pretty much covers it as far as I'm concerned.
Lose the 3 randomers.
Could do without the live bit, but they'd have to lose the tweets.
I really don't get this 'interactive' thing, but other people like it, so I'll have to live with it I suppose.

Apparently Winkleman talks too fast for some people, don't see it myself.
On the upside, Winkleman's face after the interview was a picture, she must have been rolling about on that sofa in pain watching that :)
Language from the gallery must have been choice too.

For a first episode I quite enjoyed it once it got going, it neeRAB a few tweaks here and there, everyone and everything neeRAB to be a little less excited.

I would like to see two reviewers on the couch, maybe the critic and a 'film/Tv celeb' of note.

I particularly liked the questionnaire at the end and the top 5 list was a nice little filler.

Once the episode had finished, for all its little niggles, I found I had enjoyed much more than the tired old format that had run its course during Jonathan Ross stint.

They'll adapt the show anyway, as they learn what works and what doesn't. Give it a few episodes before judging it too harshly.
