FExplorer is almost here, what's next.

site update on Jan 20: beta versions have been sent out to testers. no beta download available on the website though.

anyway, it's one more step closer to its public release. can't wait!

Since it seems like its a necessity, would you guys consider paying for the app to speed up the process. I was just wondering. Sorry if im putting ideas on their head.

I am very excited about this release - however the fact that we have to sign it, makes the release rather hmm, should I say useless due to time consumption and cert links integrity and other issues. Bottom line I am a supporter for a fully functioning (no expiration, signed, and etc) release.

If s60v3 was intended to keep its users out of the private folders, then FExplorer may quickly turn from freeware into warez, which would be no good for these forums, or for Hugo.

Hi!

I am a long year beta tester and german translator of FExplorer.

I got an early beta version of FExplorer for 3rd edition phones (please do not attack the programmer with mails to send you also one - it is an EARLY BETA).

Important info:
* it cannot access protected folders like e.g. private etc.

Here are some screenshots from my N73:

A little status report:

Currently NOT working:
* copying multiple files
* viewing files in inbox
* restart
* phone info
* network info
* screenshot

File sizes are not shown on the right side of the list (maybe because at the moment it is optimized for N80 resolution). Also the Splash screen is too big for N73 display.

not to go off topic, but do any of these explorers mentioned above have direct access to the inbox so i can copy and paste bluetooth files from inbox to card without opening each one, and also ive tried moving stuff with Y-browser and the copying doesnt work properly on my N73 ME anyone else experience this problem, they were big files like 60-70mb each , so is that a problem

As far as I know, Y-Browser is the only file browser at present that provides the functionality and I have the same problem you described while copying files larger than 15mb.

However, a light at the end of the tunnel could be the new file browser by Lonely cat games. I think its called X-file or X-plore or something and still in the beta, which is temporarily free. I have'nt tried it personally but i read somewhere that it reads the inbox. You could try that.

If, you are using PC-Suite, you could browse to the desired location on your memory card and copy it these. I think it takes the same amount of time.

Good Luck.
