FExplorer is almost here, what's next.

Y-Browser doesn't let you see ALL files like the FExplorer on s60v2 did. Would s60v3's FExplorer be able to do that? Or is the v3 security very tight?

The downloaded files are not recognized. In fact, open a regular .SIS file with a hex editor, and then look at the posted files. They're nowhere close. I don't have any knowledge to speak to why the files posted are not recognized.

I don't even feel like I've scratched the surface of my N71 without FExplorer. I can't wait for this to come out. Anything else is subpar.

It wont allow me to open it. I first tried to rename it as a .sis file and then a .jar file and neither allow me to open it or install it. Anyone else have success and what was the resolution if you dont mind?

i just tested the file on my 6630 and the .SIS is the beta for S60V2!!!!

it is NOT the 1.16beta for s60v3... sigh.

just when things felt so close.

the one on SymbianV3 is a rar file so you'll need WinRAR or something else to unpack it. after unpacking, it's a sisx file for install.

go to Lonely Cat Games' website and you can download the zip containing two versions - for S60 1st & 2nd and S60 3rd.

tested on N73 so 240x320 should work. the only problems i can see right now are:
1. the color scheme. it's not very pleasant right now and need to be user-configurable;
2. no access to sys/private folders. we all know it's a limitation of 3rd edition devices but i definitely hope someone can break it;
3. no support for file/folder names in chinese characters. it's common for all LCG applications.

Thanks for the link! Installed it and it's pretty nice thus far. It's nice to see it display the available ram upon opening it.

As file browsers, Y-Browser and FExplorer are about on par. However, FExplorer has SOOO much more functionality built into it (Task Manager, Screenshot, etc). Stuff that right now you have to use other programs to do.

i guess... but then again.. don't see how this task manager would be better then handytask....maybe if the app was the first out of the gate....
