Favourite 'Carry On' .......

Hi all

I see that the Daily Mail is giving away free 13 of the 29 original 'Carry On' movies free every day for two weeks..... whilst I wouldn't ever normally consider buying the Daily Mail (not my favourite paper, so I'll chuck it away when bought!!!!) I will buy this to gain some of the Carry On's that I don't already have on DVD...

My question is this: What is your favourite Carry on film? Just wondered generally what the most popular ones are?

Personally for me, I love the late 60's/early 70's "present day" settings for the films (like ...At your Convenience, Doctor, Loving, Matron, Girls etc.) My fav has to be Carry on Camping. I adore that film!!!!!!!! I could watch it time and time again and still love it!!!!

Not too keen on the black and white films nor am I keen on Carry on England/Emmanuelle - the final two of the series.....

Just wondered what people's favourite film of the series is???
 
One of the rags gave these away a while back. Picked a lot of them up, as they had a box full of them at the end of the counter at Smiths (I think) going free. No papers. Just the DVRAB.

Girls - the catfight with Dawn Brakes
Khyber - "and then only when there are ladies present"
Matron - or is it nurse? the one with the daffodil anyway
Cleo - "Puer, O Puer, O Puer"
Cabby - "Are you sure it was *Pint* pot?"
Sergeant - Bob Monkhouse reassembling a machine gun
Camping - "take them away, matron..."
 
Are the freebies the first batch of Carry On films?
These are owned by Canal+ , along with Thats Carry On .

The rest are owned by ITV

Edit- just checked the Mail website and they are all ITV owned films from Rank
 
I'm getting them too. And I dont buy the mail normally either.
My 2 faves were the first 2 they gave away, Doctor & Camping. But my 13 yr old daughter hasn't seen them before so wants me to get them all. We watched todays one, Matron, earlier after school.
Not keen on Up the kaiber myself. But she wants to see them all.
 
Carry On Henry, Carry On Cleo, Carry On Screaming, Carry On Don't Lose Your Head were the best one's in my opinion.

Carry On Cowboy, all the Carry On's before and including Carry On Crusing, Carry On England, Carry On Emmannuelle and Carry On Columbus were crap one's.
 
I like Cruising (It's more good natured than some later ones), especially Liz Frazer.......

Kyber has some funny lines from KW about "Queen Euston, Queen Waterloo", etc .....

But best has gotta be Cleo! Not just KW saying "infamy", but also Amanda Barrie's entirely goofy shampoo commercial Cleopatra .........
