With Halloween coming up this weekend, I thought it'd be nice to start a thread discussing our favorite segments from The Simpsons' "Treehouse of Horrors" episodes.
First off, I like all three segments from Treehouse of Horror V equally, but I think I like the one where the school cooks the children the best. I especially like the big closing number.
I also really like Homer3. I figure a lot of people like that... I CGI in that is amazing, even (or especially) if it is low-tech compared to today. And that was made around the time that computer animation was starting to become common, long before it got overrated.
I also like the segment where Bart Simpson learns he has an evil twin brother who's been chained up in the attic. Funny how Bart had never noticed his scar before. The ending is funny as well.
The segment from the third halloween special, in which Bart gets a Krusty doll, is also hilarious. I especially like the "that's good/that's bad" exchange between Homer and the shopkeeper, as well as what happens after the doll becomes good. And there are some funny lines... "This just in: Springfield's air is now only dangerous to kids and the elderly", "I was a fool for thinking anybody would buy nude photos of Whoopi Goldberg", and "Look! The doll's trying to kill me and the toaster's been laughing at me!"
