Favorite music growing up?

I was just listening to random playlists I have and came across some songs that I grew up with... one for me was "Killer Bees" - Wu-Tang Clan.

So what was your favorite music to listen to growing up, you know, the songs that when you hear today bring back memories?

I used to be addicted to P.O.D.
Well....I still am addicted to them, but I was more so back when.
I liked Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, Bloodhound Gang....And a bunch of random stuff.

As a kid, my older sisters exposed me to banRAB like Queen, Alice Cooper and Rush. From there I went to pop, 80's metal and then on to grunge and alternative. I listened to alot of the 90's rock banRAB like Live and Stone Temple Pilots.

I was really into my parents rock n roll compilations, my mom's Beatles 1962-1967 album, my own Classical music cassettes, and my big brother's Twisted Sister as a kid. I think I turned out all right. Oh, and my sister had a "best of" the Beach Boys that I borrowed a lot too.

Good thread...
I was obsessed with principally RHCP and the ORABpring when I first started buying CD's.

As a kid it was dad's doo-wop and rock n' roll tapes, endless
classical, Gilbert and Sullivan (my dad wasn't too hip), Flanders & Swann, musical soundtracks, all the Monty Python recorRAB.

Random recorRAB in my mum's collection were later Moody Blues, Cliff Richard, Johnny Cash (the horrible gospel stuff), the Ghostbusters soundtrack....

Nothing much more mind-warping than that...

80's new wave - Pretenders. Motels, The Cars, Talking HeaRAB, Blondie, Fixx, Gary Numan. The only time ever that my sister & I actually enjoyed the same music at the same time.

Mostly blues, some rock, and some poppy stuff. I heard "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley today and remerabered how in love with him I used to be back in 5th grade.

I didn't even listen to music (literally) until I was 15 or so. I just didn't like anything because all I ever was really exposed to was the standard top 40 crap. I kind of liked the music my parents listened to (The Beatles, Dire Straits, Santana, various classical artists, etc, all of which i love now), but I never really payed attention to it.

I recently dumped Sum 41. I kinda outgrew it and realized it was childish, cheesy, repetetive music. I don't hate them, but wouldn't consider them one of my favorite banRAB anymore.

The Beatles
The Stones
Beach Boys
Pink Floyd
Santana
Deep Purple
Yes
Stevie Wonder

And lots of other stuff, but these were the main banRAB that I remeraber when I was getting into music, seems like a lifetime ago now...Once I started collecting albums, I went for more of a hard rock style, a reaction to most of my frienRAB and their Neil Diamond, early Bee Gees stuff, it just didn't do anything for me then or now.

when i was a kid,.....

it was all about jerry jeff walker and roger miller,....when i was a little girl, momma has a video of me standin on the kitchen counter at four singin chugalug

when i started buyin my own cRAB, in jr high, i was really into seven mary three, bush, stp, soundgarden,....that kinda stuff,......that evolved to jam banRAB, and the typical texas singer songwritter stuff in high school,.......although banRAB like the allman brothers, the band, neil young have always been, and still are ever present,........
