This may sound weird, but I've always been a fan of cartoon cities. Though they often go unnoticed by viewers, I think they play an important role in the development of an animated movie/series. The amount of effort and detail really shows in some of them. So right off the bat, heres a few of mine in no particular order.
1. Toon Town (Who Framed Roger Rabbit) - Very zany with its layout and I loved the entranceway going through the tunnel.
2. Duckburg (Ducktales) - Loved the detailed architect and bright colors.
3. Gotham City (Batman:The Animated Series) - I loved it mostly for its dark setting which contrasted nicely with the overall theme of the show.
4. St. Carnard (Darkwing Duck) - The skyline was pretty cool especially at the end credits. Also liked how the writers connected it to Duckburg with the long bridge.
5. Acme Acres (Tiny Toon Adventures) - Nice layout which highlighted the different areas (Downtown, Suburbs, Forest, Acme Looniversity, Wackyland).
