Favorite animated 'A Christmas Carol' adaptation?

With a poll on live action versions down at the Entertainment Board, this thread asks which adaptation of Charles Dickens' 1843 story did you think was best animated? Now this poll will only include straight adaptations that take the story seriously. No specials of well-known cartoon characters going through the Scrooge treatment except if said cast is doing generally out-of-character performances of Dickensian characters.

I voted for Mickey but I also enjoy a few that aren't listed, specifically Beavis and Butt-head's "Huh Huh Humbug" and Animaniac's "A Christmas Plotz."

I voted for the Richard Williams/Chuck Jones version, due to it's splendid use of Dickens-era artwork.

But I actually have two faves. While the above is my favorite Serious treatment, 'Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol' is my favorite humorous/ musical version.

Mickey's version is great. I didn't realize it was made so recently.

I'm not sure if I've seen any of those others. Although not strictly animated, perhaps the Muppet Christmas Carol should be included as well.

While I give the Mickey Christmas Carol props for popularizing Scrooge McDuck outside of Disney comic book readers, it felt a bit too fast for me. My favorite version as a kid was "The Stingiest Man In Town" though I haven't seen it in years.

Although it feels rushed in places, gotta go with Richard Williams' version. That's some creepy stuff.

Also, doesn't the Ghostbusters CC episode warrant a place in this poll too?

Definitely Mickey's Christmas Carol. Perhaps it is a tad too short, but it's awesome! And The Real Ghostbuster's "X-Mas Marks the Spot" gets an honorable mention as my second favorite. :D

Aside from Mr. Magoo's, I've never even heard of the others, though.

I enjoyed Mickey's Christmas Carol, along with the Flintstones' Christmas Carol (which played the story a lot straighter than I thought it would---even with the obligatory Stone Age puns thrown in...).

Mickey's Christmas Carol even appears on the 2001 direct to DVD movie "Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed In at the House of Mouse". This Disney version from 1983 is perfect for 1980's fans.

First I'd choose Mickey's Christmas Carol. Premiered theatrically in 1983 with a reissue of The Rescuers. I have a VHS recording of its NBC television premiere in 1984, a few weeks before CBS premiered the George C. Scott version (incidentally, the CBS segments of that recording has the promos for that version). Anyway, highlights include the titles song, Mickey's Cratchit weeping for his dead son, Scrooge falling into the coffin from hell, and the tearful ending.
Second would be the 1971 Richard Williams version, with its brilliant renderings of the story and Victorian England (with Alistair Sim and Michael Hordern reprising their live-action 1951 roles of Scrooge and Marley).
Third is Mister Magoo, with its Jule Styne/Bob Merrill songs ("I'm all alone in the world", "Winter was Warm", and "We're despicable!"). Wonder what it would be like if Babs Streisand's song "People" was not rejected for this film?
The 2001 The Movie with Simon Callow and Nicholas Cage is worth mentioning, if nothing more than the Kate Winslet's song "What if?"

The "Mickey" version does work wonderfully well. It's not my fave because Mickey's design seems...off. Not sure why. But anyway, my fave character in the movie is The Ghost Of Christmas Yet To Come, played by Pete. He's just the best in that role. When he says, in response to Scrooge's query about whose name is on the headstone: "Why, yours, Ebenezer...the richest man in the cemetery!" and then he laughs, I get chills. Seriously. :D

I like Mickey's Christmas Carol best....I thought it was really well done, animation and story-wise,and I love the casting....

Mickey and Minnie Mouse as Bob and Emily Crachit
Scrooge McDuck as Ebenezer Scrooge
Goofy as Jacob Marley
Donald Duck as Scrooge's nephew,Fred
Jiminy Cricket as The Ghost of Christmas Past
The Giant(from Mickey and the Beanstalk...I think...) as The Ghost of Christmas Present
Daisy Duck as Isabelle
Pete as the Ghost of Christmas Future

The Animaniacs version (with Thaddius Plotz in the "Scrooge" role) was great,too....

I know it isn't animated, but I also really like the Muppet Christmas Carol....
