Fav. XMen Couples??

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about those particular physical traits. Damn, I don't know how, I remeraber catching it the first time I saw the first X-movie. You are right, though, about Logan being short and stocky. Damn, that is really, really weird, now that you mention it, the scene where he restrains Scott.

The hair thing, I don't know. I know it was taller in the books, but that's just an artist thing. Like how Rogue's eyes always change color, how Artie and Leech constantly change colors, Banshee's hair and eyes, etc., etc. I know Logan was one hairy MF, though.

I like Joe Mad b/c he made everyone look damn good (as in sexy, I was digging people I never dug before,

). I should also mention Digital Chameleon (if that's their name). They did some amazing stuff with the X-issues, especially one with a ghost. It was amazing. I think Jim Lee's X-men would probably be the most accurate image of them and that's what they should have used when they did their recruiting for the movie or whatever. I wasn't a fan of Rob Liefield, either. I think he did books I didn't read, like Youngblood. I bought those comics from dollar stores and sold them on online auctions. Not someone who did x-books, but Todd McFarlane always amazed me. I love his attention to detail.

Back to x-couples, I just thought of another one, don't know if this is popular or not, but Cable and Domino. I don't know what's happening with them lately, though. I think people were also pairing Kitty with Kurt, too. I don't really care much for them b/c I was never an Excalibur fan.

I was just thinking about Wolverine and Jean again and I think they go beyond lust. Maybe Jean lusts after Logan b/c he's wild and dangerous, but she still loves Scott. Logan just loves Jean for probably all the obvious reasons (she's caring, etc etc). I mean, the guy would die for her.

Reese Witherspoon as Rogue? UGH. I don't have much against Reese, but no way would she make a good Rogue, IMO. And there's certainly no need to recast. Paquin to me, makes a fine Rogue. Paquin isn't the problem. The lack of storyline given to her is.

Rogue was my favorite character in the first film, it wasn't until the second one that I had a problem with her. I know she was different than in the comics, younger...but because of this, I thought we would get to see the character grow. I figured that her character would get more development and have more of a mature role in X2, especially given everything that happened to her in X1. I believe Paquin could have pulled this off easily, but wasn't given the chance to. Rogue was given nothing to do and nothing was expanded on from the first film in regard to the evolution of her character, which seemed unrealistic. The only storyline she had involved Bobby, and frankly, I hated it.

*adRAB that to list of things to find* Any other comic recs are welcomed, my brother stopped reading a long time ago and he sold his, because I guess, he never thought his six year old sister who did ballet and played with Barbies would eventually want to read them.

I think they thought since they already had Wolverine, it would be like having two very similar characters in the same movie. I'd take Garabit over Logan any day though.

The movie turned me into a big Wolverine/Rogue fan, despite the age difference, the comics, etc....They were just so great together. They were the heart of the movie. There wasn't near enough interaction between the two in X2, which left me very deprived and disappointed.

Though I like the movie itself.

I enjoyed Nightcrawler and Storm's little connection. And I liked Scott and Jean so much more in X2 than I did in the first one.

I just don't like Jean.

Pyro/Rogue is the only X men couple that i ship religously nowadays.

I totally agree. Although I do like Rogue/Bobby (and Rogue/Logan. Hee) Rogue/Garabit is my absolute fave. I read the comics when I was younger and watched the cartoons and I loved these two together. Eek.

I'm really hoping to see Garabit in the third movie but it would totally screw up the timeline of the last two movies. But who cares movies change stuff from the original all the time. Hee. I love Rogue/Garabit.

Any fic recs?

I'm open to a lot of pairings.

Also, Logan resurrected from the dead to save Jean during the Fatal Attractions arc. Did anyone read Age of Apocalypse? Where they were together? I have to say, they are a spicier couple compared to Jean/Scott. Jean and Scott are the ideal couple.

As for Rogue and Garabit (my favorite couple anywhere), there is just so much sex appeal. I think this couple has (or HAD) the biggest fan base in the x-world, maybe after Jean/Scott (MAYBE).

Besides, the movie Rogue isn't bad, but she isn't "Rogue", she isn't even the definition of the word. She's too reserved, she's not spunky. Even when Rogue was still coming to terms w/her powers, we still see her with her "barely there" clothing and constantly flirting w/everyone. When Garabit came, it was just perfect. The Southern couple. Plus, their old costumes (back when they were still colorful) looked awesome together.
