Family Guy - "Road to the Multiverse" - Talkback [9/27]

The animation for the Disney sequence was done by Main Street Pictures, Inc, which has a pretty varied resume. (According to the reel on their website, they also worked on Barnyard, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, Osmosis Jones, & Seth MacFarlene's Cavalcade Of Cartoon Comedy.)

Anyway, I thought that this was definately one of the best Family Guy episodes in a long time. Most of you guys have already mentioned all the good stuff, but I definately agree that the Disney part was the best.

Thanks. :)

As if I couldn't spread my review of the show across more posts... :p

I think it would've been cool if they'd shown Peter, Lois, and Meg in the live-action universe. Would've been interesting to see what they looked like as real people; and who would portray them (if not just regular people).

Just watched the episode on Hulu.
That had to be the best Family Guy episode I have watched in a while, possibly ever. I dare say this episode is definitely up to par with the first 3 seasons of the show. The majority of the jokes were spot on and all of the universes were great, from the Christianty-less to Flinstones to Japanese to "blocky, low res" to Robot Chicken to Misleading Picture universe, and yes, the Disney universe. That moment alone was brilliant in itself, but the fact that Seth went as far as to make it look as Disney-esque as possible was creatively genius.

If Family Guy can dish out clever jokes like that in the future, my faith in Family Guy has been restored.

9.5/10

P.S: Am I the only one who thinks Human Brian looks alot like Ferb?

If you get offended easily, then FG is not for you. I am Jewish and stand by my beliefs greatly, but I, seemingly unlike many other people, can take a joke. The anti-semetic part at the end of Disneyverse had me in stitches!

Anyways, fantastic episode, tops every episode since the series returned from cancellation. Best parts were easily the Hydrant/Gay universe combos, the Disney universe, the shout out to Robot Chicken, and best of all, the Pie song lol.

Um, don't you mean 'would've preferred'?

And really, what else could they do with Human Brian? He's only good for one story. He only stood out in his own universe; in "our" universe, he was just a regular guy, and this universe already has a Brain. As a recurring character, Human Brian would've been a redundant clone.

Was anybody honestly expecting the writers to not get rid of him in some way?

Why is it that week after week, it seems the most easily offended people continuously watch Family Guy and then act surprised when their offended?

It's FREAKIN' FAMILY GUY YOU ARE WATCHING, EXPECT OFFENSE!!!

I know....I mean C'mon seth. (didn't your parents teach you to be tolerent of others beliefs)

Also Flinstones univers YAY!

also..Japan world=AWSOME!!

Well, and I know this is a total if, they could do a follow up episode next season, granted this episode does well in ratings.

Simple plot outline: Human Brian has to go back to his universe because you are only supposed to live in your own universe.

Once again, that's a total if.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode. A lot of the universes made me laugh, but some missed (The block-animation universe).
