Family Guy - "I Dream of Jesus" - Talkback [10/5]

Kind of lost itself in the last act, but this was still a good episode for a change. Two decent episodes in a row. Let's see if they can keep this up.

Bird bird bird, the bird is the word...

Great. That song is stuck in my head now. Thanks, Family Guy.

I assume that horrible Jay Leno impersonation was completely intentional. Kinda would've liked to hear the guy who played him in that one American Dad episode portray him here. He did a pretty good imitation.

Is he, by chance, related to Mike?

I've acutally laughed quite a bit in the first act, strange since at any other time I wouldn't of been so hot on something like Peter screaming "BIRD IS THE WORD"

Just to make a note at the record store, there were posters of the Zeppelin logo, Dark Side of the Moon and In Utero. Funny there was a Nirvana reference, considering who Jesus really was...

I would have liked a reference back to the episode where Leno's trying to kill Tom Brady. "Hey, Brady, what kinda suit you wanna be buried in?"

This episode was totally awesome all around.

The running Surfing Bird gag was awesome. Especially with Peter going into a seizure.

Peter's deduction of who stole his record, followed by Chris's confession and confrontation with the squirt gun. I almost forgot that Brian and Stewie actually stole the record.

Making fun of Dane Cook's tired act and Bush's holier than thou act.

And even though this episode potrayed Jesus as becoming corrupted by Hollywood, it still was no where near as offensive as some past episodes, like last weeks.

I just wish I knew what movie Brian and Stewie were spoofing during the breaking of the record.

Something I just remembered: That Lindsey Lohan gag is quite possibly one of the most out-of-date jokes that the show ever did on release, considering the 360 she made this past year.

Not as dated as Drawn Together's Christopher Reeve-mocking episode, but that's been stated to death...

Really hilarious episode,

The highlights:
The Peter Surfing The Bird gag was so hilarious which had me on floor laughing so hard:D:D:D:D!!!!
Meg-bashing was funny as much as I dislike Meg.
Good to see Chris back.
Cleveland getting hosed down.
Peter's fast-talking.
George Bush's appearance.
Return of Jay Leno which his horrible impersonation was kind of funny which sounded Quagmire-ish.
Peter's seizure from the song:D:D:D.
Brian & Stewie destroying the record referenced from Office Space:anime:.
Brian's jaw-dropping was so funny:p.
Dane Cook was so hilarious.
Starr Jones' destroyed arms:eek::D.
No Herbert:D,which I'm so happy they're getting a break from that old pervert.
The random talking cow:p.

Man,I'm gonna have that Surfing The Bird song stuck on my head now:p & Jay Leno's 1st appearance on the Tom Brady episode was so hilarious.

I wouldn't call that an out of date joke. Infact, the fact that Captain Hero was a parody of Superman and other superheroes gave Drawn Together more of a reason to do the parody.

Well, shut mah mauf. All the good, none of the stupid.

No really disturbing jokes, no shock-for-the-sake-of-shock jokes, no Stewie coming on to Brian, just the classic randomness that makes this show work. EVEN THE CELEBRITY SLAMS WERE FUNNY and that hasn't been the case in a long time. I give this baby a solid 9. Brian Scully oughta come back; he's apparently way more competent than his brother is.

And no six-minute cutaway! Who started that rumor anyway?
