Family Guy - "April in Quahog" - Talkback [4/11]

This has been funny so far. At first I thought the plot would invovle Peter being the only person on the jury to vote "not guilty".

The Oscars scene was funny, with Grover, a red guy, a boob, and... I forget who/what else (I can't believe the boob didn't win).

It's not Seth or the writers' fault this episode aired a week after April Fool's Day. FOX could have aired this last week, but instead they had reruns. Also, I'm not completely sure this crossover business was a prank. It may be possible the plot guides got screwed up on the news sites. It was announced a while ago, and it wasn't around April Fool's then either. Even if it was, hey at least we got a Family Guy crossover on The Cleveland Show tonight.

This episode was hilarious! The gag with Peter going to the local black community and coming back with that king outfit was hysterical. And holy moly, Brian praying! :D

This season is still on fire.

Well that was because of Easter. This is the earliest they could have aired this.

At least we got something.

We're definitely doing better than we were this time last year.

Too bad this wasn't a crossover episode but it was still a great episode :anime:
My favorite parts are Peter at the jury,Adam West punch the space,Peter with crystal meth flew out of Stewie's Room, and the ending with Peter playing MW2 XD

Not bad, pretty funny. Kind of had a feeling April fools would be involved. Peter and Brian on meth and Stephen Hawking with a surf board made me laugh. And after this episodes coupled with the Cleveland show cameo I'm officially sick of Quagmire. The crude sexual jokes/innuendo was funny for a pretty long time with me, then came the phase of indifference and now I just find them annoying. Yeah yeah, I get it "That's Quagmire" and this is me not giving a crap anymore.

Come on guys, look at the episode title. If that was no clue something was going to happen, take into mind that airing it 2 weeks after April 1st is the real surprise. A joke is a joke, but I can understand you guys hating it. Most shows that do something like that get hated on for a while. Just wait, we might see a crossover in 4 weeks.

Oh, is it ok to mention South Park did the same thing 13 years ago? Well, the same reaction occured, but the internet was not as big, so they got telephone calls instead. And Not Without My Anus was actually really funny, and I am sure this episode is too (sorry, I didn't watch it, I just heard it was an April Fools thing).

Man, I really wanted to know how the characters would get out of the current dilemma they were in instead of it being an April Fool's gag (which the title pretty much gave away). Then again, considering their Y2k episode and Stewie killing Lois were both dreams, I suppose it would be unwise for a potential repeat of that again, but I admit I was pretty attentive for the first ten minutes.

Still, that doesn't make up for the weak second half. This is essentially two plots tied into one: Peter's sudden outburst that he didn't care for his children was what I figured to be a quick joke, but the plot spent the last ten minutes trying to fix this subplot. It was lackluster and shallow with a quickly resolved ending.

It started off very strong, but faltered and fell flat until there was absolutely nothing for me to absorb.

Why is everyone so upset? I loved this episode. It had a lot of funny gags. So what If there was no crossover, you don't need to blast the rest of the episode.
