Well, a little.
I've begun to get more involved into writing and drawing. Having so many ideas to write down and commit to paper is fun, interesting, and a bit of a challenge when you're trying to possibly get into the animation industry like so many others.
I think this can also be attributed to how some or most anime are the same. When was the last time have we seen or heard of an anime based on a card battle game? Or a how a wimpy teenage boy is surrounded by hot women and hijinks ensue? (Don't get me wrong, I like that.)
I think that I would like to see something that shakes the foundation of a show or genre, like "Yu-Gi-Oh" meets "Dance Dance Revolution" type of show in which somehow the fate of the world rests on one person's shoulders (or feet), and would have to compete in some off-the-wall competitons with rivals along the way; or a convention-breaking character that makes me sit up, take notice, and wants me to join them and their adventure for 26+ episodes.
Also, money and resources are factors. I know that there are many options to choose from, but sometimes those avenues are limited. I don't have VOD, no iPod on the go, no digital cable for those specialty animation channels, and the internet can be sketchy at times. I rely on brick and mortar stores. On a final note, I'll wait for the complete set of a show that really piques my interest. I can't really watch five episodes for X amount of dollars and wait for the next volume.
I'm a marathon man, and trying to space the viewing time is difficult when things begin to get good. That may take some practice.
But at the end of it all, a break is best.
It's best to come back fresh than burned.
