I'm in the wrong business if a dealer gets 3 hours for a fork oil change. A Road King change without air is about an hour at my house. If it has air, it is about 15 minutes.
As far as oil goes, I recommend heavier oil than stock. I use SE Heavy...The reason I recommend it is because on a Touring model, if you hit the brakes and a bump or dip at just the right timing combo, you can bang the brake T bolt on the front fender leaving a nice ding. It took me about 40k miles to do it, but I finally did. A little questioning taught me that this is a not so uncommon occurence. Heavier fork oil helps to lessen the likelyhood of it happening.
