Hi. I'm jamie and i'm 14 male, 5"7 if any of this bears any relevance.
Recently I have had some symptoms (which generally ended 2 weeks ago), and they included having a slight burning sensation when I urinated, one incident of having a bit of blood in my urine, having some moderate lower back pain, and also some abdominal cramps sometimes. However they gradually, over about 3 days dissapeared. Then (since we couldn't get an appointment any earlier, we booked it while I still had symptoms), I went to the doctor and told him my story, and he said it might just be me discharging "renal dust", because I had a UTI in November, or something like that.
He took a urine sample anyway, and the results came back with nothing out of the ordinary. This sample was taken on the 15th March. Also, when I had the UTI, I had a blood test (in november), and that didn't indicate much. I may have had a slightly lower blood count than average, but it was still in the average range (for example, say as a random number, normal is between 4.0-5.0, but about 2/3 of people have between 4.4-4.6, I would have 4.2, or something like that, if you know what i mean). But since I don't have a great diet, she put it down to that, and I've started eating more healthily now.
However, today I am feeling abnormally quite thirsty, and I am urinating every 45 minutes or so. I am drinking quite a lot of water and only water, as that is what i usually drink anyway. My urine is clear now. I don't think I'm experiencing any other symptoms. What could it be? I don't think I've eaten anything today which would make me more thirsty. This is what I have eaten today:
2 Waffles with a little extra sugar for breakfast, (7 hours ago)
Some plain crackers (5 hours ago)
Noodles for lunch (3 hours ago)
I'm pretty sure I haven't eaten anything else really, no salty stuff. Any ideas of what it could be/ what I could do would be appreciated.
Jamie.
Oh and btw, its not that I just need to go to the toilet a lot - I actually am going to the toilet a lot.
I hope my kidneys aren't failing
