Hey. please help me settle a very annoying argument regarding poker.
When playing NL Texas hold'em, and each player has say an A with a low kicker (say a 5 and a 4). and the board comes out K 8 A 10 9 .each person has hit a pair of aces and each kicker is below 8. Is the pot then split as the best five cards on the board are AA K 10 9, or are the other cards irrelevant and the pot goes to the person with the highest kicker in hand, regardless of what cards are on the board.
Thanks for any help that can be given.
