Ethnography of Homosexual Culture in San Francisco?

Would this topic be viable for a G.E Anthropological class project? I mean, truth be told my teacher is one ignorant lady, and she is unreachable at many times, so I really need some help..
Do you think creating an ethnography of homosexual culture in SF could be a viable topic? I will in here, be focusing on their self-identity, their approach to certain traditional values, rituals and habitual diets/activities. To emphasize the difference of SF and other countries, I also have an intervewee in Indonesia to comply to this study as to compare and contrast the two of them but mainly pin-pointing an emphasis on San Francisco's homosexual culture.

But to my concerns, I have mostly seen ethnic and racial ethnography that focused on a specific topic (Iraqi-Political Power, etc), but would a sex be opened for a specific topic such as homosexual? Let's say an easier example would be "Women in Iraqi - Cultural Role". Something such as that while mine would be "Homosexuals in San Francisco - Adaptive Life Style"

Is it good? If yes, I will work on it this evening as I have finished all my interviews and my participant observations a week ago.
