It was so great. I liked Kate Winslet with the tangerine hair the most, although green was kinda funky too.

I haven't seen Being John Malcolvich and Adaptation so maybe I should, Charlie Kaufman's work is so great here! And I'm really glad Jim Carrey got to play this role, he's good with comedies but I really like him more when he plays roles closer to normal ppl.

Ahh! That scene! Oh, those kids were so cute and for some reason so were Jim and Kate in those outfits. Aww.

Ok, I had to revive this, I think this is one of the most ingenious movies ever made! I don't think there's a singal think I didn;t like about it...the directing, writing, acting, all incredible!

 I love Mark Ruffalo. He is just a person you want to cuddle. I loved his shuffling dancing moves.

I agree about Kristen Dunst, she usually annoys me, but she was good in this movie I felt so sorry for her.

Jim Carrey was really good in this film, I was so use to seeing him do something that was over the top comical, so it was good to see him in a film with a lot of meaning, but some funny parts as well. I've loved Kate Winslet for the longest time and I think she was maverous as this role, she is very diverse in the movies she can do. I don't think there is really a movie she can't do... maybe a teen comedy, but who knows.

This is in my top 5 fav movies, for sure. So unique, sweet, funny. I love how they meet after they get their memories erased anyway. And Kate Winslet is so purdy in this movie too :) I want to dye my hair orange lol

Oh right! ;) Did you suggest Tangerine as a 2nd option? :P

It's definitely a movie worth watching over and over. The changing of Clem's hair color allows for a clever way to follow along chronologically.

I loved this movie. Kate Winslet is always awesome, but I especially loved her in this. And I'm not really a Jim Carrey, but he really won me over as Joel. They were both just great.

And I adore that scene. So sweet, but sad at the same time.

This is my favorite movie. It really touched me and the performances were top notch.

^ I couldn't agree more, and I cried when he begged to keep that one memory. Sniffs.

Jim got a lot of praise at first, but since somehow this was a smaller movie, people kind of forgot about his incredible performance. A shame.

I love how it's shot. Underneath the covers. It makes it all the more vulnerable and intimate.

I really wanna see this movie but it hasn't come out yet in my country.

But apparently it's meant to come out in april

so i'm very happy. I can't wait to see Jim carrey in this movie. i found some of his comedies funny but i'm glad he's finally mellowing down and playing an introvert. and i can't wait to see kate winslet as an extrovert.. it should be fun. I'm also a big fan of Charlie Kauffman's work, I love 'Being John Malcovich' and Adaptation. Overall the cast sounds like they're all really good and the storyline sounds really like interesting.

FI, my fiance....

He won't budge even after seeing the movie. Oh well, at least I got to watch the movie again :)

One of my favorite parts was Mark Ruffalo in thick glasses in his undies.

I never would've paired JC and KW together either, but it worked. Jim Carrey was so good in this.

One of the other movies we saw together, which she de-constructed rather cleverly, was Capturing the Friendmans. No question - much more indie and hardcore.

You know, I'm kind of intrigued you all are taken aback by my friend's views. She's just one woman, people! Don't take it so personally - it's no reflection on you or the film, and for the record she did enjoy seeing it.

...she just didn't think it was the usual fare we watched. *shrug*

I agree Jim Carrey did not get enough credit for this movie. I saw this movie a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it, I liked the different hairstyles Kate had throughout the movie. :look:

This is a off topic, but what's considered more "hardcore" indie films? Before Sunrise/Before Sunset? Everything Is Illuminated? (I love both).

Talking about this movie is making me want to watch it again.
