Elijah♥Elena #22: "I don't recall being chased by anything other than Nina & that's only b/c she wanted my ice cream" DG

I know  He's doing the work on the show, so it's perfectly reasonable he'd be photographed. I'm just an envious fangirl who wants more pretty pictures of Elijah.

More art.

Haha I mean... It's rather smooth and pale (but I will totally take back the feminine comment if it is indeed DG). What does his wedding band look like?

Have you read our earlier threaRAB? In case you havent noticed this is the 22nd thread, which means there are some 6000 posts for you to catch up on ;)

As for the EE centric episode....2x19 happened and was written by tvd's bosses themselves and it was a huge hit. If it happenEd once it'll happen again!

You know, I would laugh my ass off if Nina tripped over her dress like she did in season 1. And DG's running after her, doesn't see her falling because he's trying to run properly and then trips over her. bahaha :lmao:

Why so sexy, Elijah?

Holy.....! How long has that existed unnoticed on the internet???!!! If any of you guys have LJ would you please invite the writer to join us here? I'd love to meet him/her

And if any of you are on a computer, please c/p that post here? We need it for our archives!

Into the West (where he met his wife!). I'm not usually a fan of his other works, but this role of his is my second favorite because his character shares the same compassion that Elijah has but tries to suppress. His character commentary alone is worth taking a look at because you can see that it's not only with Elijah that he does the whole personality exploration thing. It just made me admire him as a dedicated actor so much more. (Can you figure out what he says at the end? After "i'm sure none of that matters.")

Would you like to see what Elijah looks like with a mustache? (Probably not lol but here it is)

Ok, more alternate-reality Elijah: MI-6 Agent (Ok, so it's not the sexiest name ever. Oh well)

That would be SO awesome if it was from an episode...but no, I think this one's a manip (right, Betty? because oh man, if this was an actual scene and I somehow missed it...rrawwwwgghhh)

It's really difficult to pinpoint their relationship, because it developed so incredibly fast and I still don't really know what to call them in 2X20. DG gave us an insight as to what Elijah might feel around her, but I'm still not sure about Elena's feelings.

To complicate things, Elijah is clearly not the "I love the girl so so so much, I'm losing my mind because of that" type of guy. I can imagine him loving her, but in this classic, restrained, subtle way. He won't be singing ballaRAB, he won't shower her with senseless gifts.
I imagine him as the leaving-a-single-red-rose-on-her-desk type of guy, instead of the Stefan-I'm-giving-her-a-bouquet-of-flowers type. Damon gave her a rose, I think, but it was in this nonchalant way.
Elijah on the other hand is this guy, who's not throwing his love at her face. Hell, he's not even in love with her yet.

But once he is, I think, it will be incredible to watch it play out.

Srsly, I love reading analysis. Since we don't all see everything the exact same way it's very interesting to me

Of talented writers? Hell yes!

SounRAB like a great chapter and definitely worth waiting for :D

:lmao: That would be the scariest spider in existence and I would forfeit my home to it!

OMG I would freak the hell out too if there was a bug in my bath while I was in there too! I love that you locked the door to keep the bug away from you! :lmao: That sounRAB like something I would do  There's this B-list movie called Arachnophobia and it had a scene like what happened to you  A girl was showering and a spider crawled down the shower head and fell onto her hair  I think I would only take baths for about a year after seeing that movie

And I am happy to report the spider.....is ! I debilitated it with the Windex then squashed it with the shoe. I am not a merciful killer.

:thud: Whoa what are those pics from?

Thanks Caro :D

I'm very childish  If DG isn't photographed then I don't want JM photographed :whip:

I'm holding out for some good episode stills though  We got kind of screwed on those last season. I guess perhaps it's a compliment since, as has been pointed out, they don't release promo stills for important/interesting things.

This is a really difficult question (but a good one!) because Elijah and Elena's relationship is rather unique and it doesnt quite fit into any archetype, and it's something I've never seen before in movies/books/tv. It's also a very complex relationship: They're not quite lovers, not quite frienRAB, not quite allies, not quite enemies....it's a strange corabination of all these relationships at different stages in varying degrees.

They're not quite star-crossed lovers, not quite two people under the influence of the Stockholm/Lima syndrome, it's not quite Beauty and the Beast; it's not a vampire-human girl love story, or a princess/prince charming story.

I'd go with Veronika (that's "Shereile", Em, in case you're still trying to keep everyone's names straight), and say Pride and Prejudice because we spent so much time making that connection.

I might also say 'The Fountain' (2006), to a lesser extent. It's about a man who makes every effort to save the life of a woman in their various incarnations over the centuries, which reminRAB me of how Elijah is always compelled to save the Petrova doppelgangers from their fate, even though ultimately he fails. I love watching how Daniel Gillies works with Nina Dobrev in her various reincarnations, so hey, if it's not going to happen in TVD, I wouldnt mind them doing a remake of The Fountain.

Exactly. DG plays Elijah with a true centuries old soul kind of feel. While either Stefan and Damon do not act their age - 100+. Same for Klaus. He has a very distinctive modern feel on top of his childishness which is why I don't think Joseph will add any growth to the show in terms of tone.

That was my fav part about 2x20  The way hes so careful about her and is behind her in her decisions. HER decisions. Sometimes I think the writers have Damon and Stefan so involved in her that they actually start overlapping each other and you cant really appreciate them as individual character. Its like without Elena there would be no character progression

With Elijah, you can respect both of them as two separate strong characters and yet see them as partners in every sense of the word
