for a research paper, i need to write about the effects of educating girls and women in islamic communities, including but not limited to pakistan and afghanistan.

i would like some websites/books, or any references that would help with this topic. thanks! & please dont just tell me to look it up on google. its very useless when people say that.
 
I think it would be best to ask a librarian at your college/university to help you with this. No one on here is likely to have a good answer for you. The closest thing that I've read that might help you is the Persepolis series, which is actually about a wealthy Iraqi girl. Very good series though. She does wind up pulling away from a lot of the more strict rulings of Islam. It may or may not be worth your time (unless you've already read it).

It would be an interesting experiment to introduce feminism in other societies and see if the society improves or declines.
