i saw this over the weekend - probably one of the most gruelling films i have ever seen. ignore all the people saying how reactionary it is - it does play on middle class fears of hoodies but quite rightly too i think. surely we've all had times when we've seen a gang and worried what they may do.
its brilliantly acted by all in it and the violence is unwatchable in parts - mainly because it seems so believable. and its the first horror film i've watched that actually reduced me to tears in parts
Wow...I just finished watching this.
I agree with everyone here that it is indeed a disturbing film.
I thought it was pretty well made, and I ended up caring enough about the couple to feel very sad in places.
This film has made me feel sad, scared, nauseous and shaky...so they did a good job!
Just seen this film and I have never wanted a film to end so much! It was really really horrible and I felt quite shakey by the end. You would have to be very hard for this not to affect you. Having said all that, the acting is absolutely brilliant.
i since went and looked up more about it now, and its not a horror in the sense that it has "monsters" in but rather that it has real monsters in and its horrific!?
i will be watching this though, sounRAB very good by all accounts
Acting was brilliant throughout but certainly left a nasty taste in the mouth at the end, and yeah something like that definetely felt true to life in parts.
I don't know how Jenny Reilly did it but she was amazing.
The main villain of the piece, i know it was acting but jesus he was one evil motherf***er!
saw this at the weekend and agree with most of the comments here about it being fairly disturbing but I did wonder at what market it was aimed for - was it made to scare the living daylights out of "middle england" and promote a don't interfere don't get involved feeling or aimed at 15 year old "chavs" to show you can get away with murder
Exactly you don't want to carry on watching it as it is so sick, nasty and degrading. I would say it was believeable as in if someting like this happened in real life it may not be that shocking though of course rare, the way things are nowadays it could quite easily hapen
