E50/E61/N80 Decisions, Decisions?!?

The N80 can probably do 99.9% of the things the E50 can do and more. No reason to get an E50 (other than the price) over the N80.

I give the E61 an edge over the E50 because of the keyboard and wifi...the lack of a camera is a deal breaker for me though.

If you need the camera, go for the N80. If not, go for the E61.

Can the N80 fit in a pocket as well as the E50?

Is the N80 as solid as the N80? Can you end a call by mistake with the E50 by sliding the non-existent and loose slider down?

Can you text as well on the N80 as you can on the E50?

appreciation of the phones is relative

id go E50 if u want a phone with long battery life and has ridiculous reception, E50 is small and good if u jst want to make calls and have a very reliable phone esp in the workfield.

I really like the E50. At first i was really leaning toward the E60 because it had wi-fi, but im still not convinced its something i will really use allot. Also, the E60 does not support 850, which i need in my area. Besides have you seen the E50? its a sexy phone. enough said.

Do note that the E50 has an odd bug that results in random popping and clicking during calls. It's not something that shows up every second, but it does show up enough times during each call to make me wish it weren't there.

Clearly all these phone appeal to different people.

One is for casual users, one is for messaging/office heavy users, and one is for media savvy users. Nobody will give you the answer, just figure out what is best for your needs.

Strong enough for a man and yet sexy enough for a woman.
like i said before......its like an Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT if compared in terms of cars.

like everybody is saying, define what you need and then select... but i voted for E61

but, if you included 5500, i would have voted for that...

I browse alot so the E61 is good for that, I just hate holding a Pop-Tart up to my face. The 5500 is out due to no love for 850 mhz. I think that I am going to for the E50, going to miss the wifi though.

its a gold nugget for people who know what they have already :-)

the above quote is to convince people to get it.

i'm trying to start a cult.

do you live in an area filled with wifi?
i live in Halifax and there is wifi here and there but mostly only in apartment buildings and downtown which mostly require passwords so wifi was negligible to me since if i were in an apartment building there was a PC nearby anyway.
i picked form over function in that case.
the only real plus points of the E61 against the E50 is the wifi and the QWERTY. the screen can be a plus but thats also a reason why the phone is so broad as well.
the E50 has a few extra features like Message Reader and Avaya connect which you may never use. but most of all it is built like a tank compared to the E61's plastic body.

here's a shot by me:
