Recently picked up:

The Queen
Notes on a Scandal
Sopranos Season 2 (used for $24)
Re-Animator 2 disc (w/the cool glowy pen)
Pee Wee's Playhouse (the special that was on cable way, way back) $11 @ Best Buy!

Tomorrow I'm really, really looking forward to Pan's Labyrinth 2 disc.

It sucks about The Dark Knight, especially since Begins had a lot of special features. I'm still getting it in Blu-ray, :D.

I'm also hoping to get Lost: The Complete Fourth Season tomorrow.

Since this about discussing DVD's, I'm confused about an upcoming rerelease of "The Princess Bride". I notice they have two different covers you can choose from when it comes out on June 13th. "The Dread Pirate" edtion and "The Buttercup" edition. Is there a difference between the dread pirate and buttercup editions?

Nice purchases, guys! I need to buy more DVDs!

I'll have to wait to get TDK because I want to buy the Blu-ray version but I still don't have a Blu-ray player.

Okay, what the crap is with Disney and its limited release of its movies on DVD?! Grrr! I want some Disney movies, but all that's out now are The Aristocats, 101 Dalmatians, The Fox & the Hound, and Robin Hood. :pout: There was a $25 set of Mulan 1 & 2, but I wasn't gonna fork over that amount for both. I just want the original! :pout:

And apparently Disney DVDs have added scenes into the original movie? I remember seeing some weird crap when I was watching a friend's copy of Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. I do not like it.

Anyway, bought Anastacia on DVD last night. Haven't seen the movie in years, but I think I liked it. Took me the longest time to realize that it's not a Disney movie though. :look:

Mehhh, so I ended up buying four Christian Bale movies.

I originally intended to buy just Batman Begins, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Training Day. But I walked out of Best Buy with Batman Begins [two-disc deluxe edition], American Psycho, Equilibrium, and Reign of Fire. The latter two I haven't seen, but I love Bale so whatever, got 'em anyway. :D

Maybe I'll go get Pirates and Training Day today when I go shopping with my dad....

The last movie I bought was Stargate Continuum.

I have a decent sized collection right now, but I'm still missing some movies that I really want to get. Like the Golden Compass, P.S. I Love You, Shrek the Third, The Mummy, Pride & Prejudice, Marie Antoinette, etc.

I can't wait for The Dark Knight & The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian to be on dvd.

I haven't seen that one yet.

This thread makes me sad because I've been so broke! My brother has bought me the few new DVDs I have.

He bought The Kingdom which I really want to see but haven't gotten around to it yet. He also bought The Bourne Ultimatum, Spider-Man 3 and I few others I actually can't remember.

I know how you feel, taovande. I'll buy a movie that has more special features (or multiple-discs) over the single-disc with less features and don't really care if it costs more since it's usually a few bucks apart anyways. I also keep track of them on Excel [:embarrassment:], but that's more to keep track of what I've let friends/family borrow and see how much I've spent,. However, I hate when companies release the same movie multiple times years apart (looking at you, Reservoir Dogs).

I recently bought:
Hitch
Mean Girls
Office Space
South Park
Election
Pleasantville
Shawshank Redemption

...each for about $10 or less. Man, Best Buy is awesome. I'm eagerly anticipating The Departed and The Prestige though.

So, what's everyone's thoughts on HD-DVD and BluRay?

I'm such the Blu-Ray fan, honestly. Recently I purchased Pineapple Express, and I plan on Pre-ordering HSM3 and Twilight on Blu-Ray, and maybe Wanted. We'll see... :)

Nooooo! I'm picking that up tomorrow. :( But I'll probably still pick up the two-disc edition.

Added Wanted to my collection over the weekend already.

Wish i could help but I am the same. I only have around 100 dvds and don't spend lots at once but I buy every now and again (on'es i've seen, ones i've never seen) half are still in the wrappers. And they are in alphabetical order. But I don't see it as too much of a problem :)

I can't wait for The Dark Knight DVD. It's going to have great special features, at least I hope so! :)

I just added Posers to my collection, still awaiting to get it from amazon. I have to admit the only reason I got it (watched a little once) is the main character has my name.

Hmm, so I bought Gladiator extended edition, Four Brothers, American History X, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Love Actually, and Ocean's Eleven. Love all the movies except for Four Brothers (because I haven't seen it yet; it was an impulse buy, and all of my free time in college is spent going out with friends or watching football).

And The Departed and The Prestige come out on DVD next month. Excited, yes. :D
