:D In my house there's only one VCR and I'm constantly moving it to where it's needed. I'm trying to get all my tapes on DVD, but it's hard work! Some of the tapes are messed up, and I have to check them and try not to screw up the only working VCR on the planet. Or, that's how it feels like anyway.

"All praise the nation of heroes! All pity the nation that needs them."

I loved that line.

Equilibrium was awesome. We just got back from the bar and while there we heard a Huey Lewis song come on and said that he is now forever linked with American Psycho.

I've purchased some DVDs recently, movies I hadn't seen for the most part. The list and my rating.

Pulse 7/10 - Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Had me attached and entertained.
You, Me, And Dupree 5/10 - I would give it a 4, but Kate's ass is too delicious. Sadly, that's all i have to say about that piece of crap movie.
Feast 8/10 - Mindless gory. Bloody awesome, mate
She's The Man 8/10 - I love Amanda Bynes, she makes cute movies.
House of the Dead II 3/10 - Some T/A and a whole lot of suck.
Tamara 7/10 - Carrie-esque movie, loved the deaths.
The Ringer 6/10 - Rather mediocre. Nothing worth mentioning.
Click 6/10 - Come on, comedies shouldn't make you sad.
The Breakup 6/10 - See "Click" above
Inside Man 7/10 - I felt a little unfulfilled, i mean at the end I thought... ok everyone is happy. Shouldn't have been that way.
Clerks 2 9/10 - Ass to mouth.

the two-disc version has some special features on the second disc...all that's on the first disc is the movie....

Last film I bought is A Midsummer Night's Dream. I'd been looking to pick that one up for quite a while, it's got an awesome cast, especially Kevin Kline as Bottom, Michelle Pfeiffer as Titania and Calista Flockhart as Helena.

I got the Original Star Wars on dvd - the ones originally released in theaters. It came in a nice box too

I hate how Disney feels the need to only release a few of its limited edition films at a time, and charge an insane amount for them, just because it's a greedy money-making bawbag  There's loads that I want but don't have/can't get because a) I can't find them, and b) they're stupidly expensive.

I just got back from Blockbuster and bought Just Friends, Just my luck, and Fun with Dick and Jane. All three movies I really enjoyed.

Ohhh, that rocks. It's funny, I've been thinking of buying the DVD since I only have it on, wait for it, VHS. ;) Never Been Kissed is a must have classic by now. How time flies.

Meh, Reign of Fire's not that bad. The only thing I really had a problem with was Matthew McConaughey. Other than that, I thought it was a pretty good or at least decent movie. Then again, I had a thing for dragons/fantasy when I was little...

I ended up buying Pirates of the Caribbean 2-disc collector's edition and Training Day the next day. So that was 6 DVD purchases within 24 hours.

I really need to be banned from Best Buy. Yet, I kinda wanna get Memento....

Disney is always messing with DVD releases, movie cuts and everything. So annoying! They take forever to release stuff, and even after they do, there's something else to worry about.

I hear Blu-ray prices are down considerably, so if you have a Blu-ray player and have some loose cash, you're in luck!

No Pan's Labyrinth 2 disc for me today. :( Went to Wal-Mart and they had it for $27 a little too pricey for me so it's off to Target or Best Buy tomorrow.

What Wal-Mart did have:

Big: Extended Cut ($14)
To Catch a Thief (Cary Grant) ($9)
Clueless: Totally Buggin' Edition ($7.50)
Death Wish ($7.50)
Amistad (in their $5.50 bin)

And via eBay:

Eyes Without a Face (Criterion)
The Silence of the Lambs (Criterion) - yay! Jodie Foster commentary!
Daughters of Darkness (w/bonus disc - Blood Splattered Bride)

Wait, so is the two-disc The Dark Knight even worth the effort? Is there anything on the second disc? I went to my local Border's and got the single-disc version (stupid store had only the single-disc and the Blu-Ray versions). So I haven't opened it yet (so I can return it later), in case I find the two-discer at Target on Friday.

Or should I just go ahead and open the single-disc and watch the movie? :D
