It took awhile for me to get into this one, but someone told me to stick with it. Episode 3 was the one that really stuck with Shizzy beating the clothes off someone. >_>
I'm glad I didn't give up because 11 and 12 have been total mind****ery and I've been loving it. Anxiously awaiting 13.

But she's headless

This episode filled in some of the missing spaces for sure, Celty must of been in insane pain when that guy was doing the autopsy on her, it said she woke up without her head, but I wonder who would of been able to take her head like that in the first place, I also agree that the doc seems a little suspect.

Just watched episode 6, the head in the jar looked like the head that's on the girl who is with Seiji and as his sister does those kinRAB of things with human bodies it makes sence too.

There Is a new anime titled Durarara coming out soon In Japan. The anime Is based on a popular light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita and Illustrated by Suzu Hito and the series has now also expanded Into a manga and several other multimedia projects. Here Is the Anime plot below.

I have up dated the thread now that Its about tp air. Also crunchyroll has licensed It for Us release should be out soon.

Good episode got a lot of background on Celty. It will be interesting to see what happens to the girl with the scar on her neck. Im guessing thats Celty's head but I guess we will have to wate and see.

Just finished episode 13.
I realized as I was watching this show that I really like all the characters, which is rare for me. I have no problems with any of the main ones, and even the lesser supporting ones.

I was surprised Celty freaked out over the cops coming after her. I always felt she was too badass for them to even phase her. Bonus cute scene with Shinra.

Anywho. The Slasher, huh? If there was ever a reason to stop bullying other people in high school, getting attacked by the Slasher is it. Not that those girls would be doing anything after that anyway...

It seems even Sonohara has a shady as heck background too, especially with Harima Mika involved.

And I'm loving the references to different anime/manga in this show. Last time it was the Baccano appearance and then they mentioned Haruka Nogizaka's Secret.

What I meant by 'hardcore' was Walker's and what's-her-name's love for light novels.

Anyway, despite what I previously said at the series's beginning, looks like this will be heading to a pretty satisfying conclusion. Looks like some of my guesses were pretty accurate, but I still have a feeling that some way or another, this series will still manage to surprise me more.

I thought that the promo just screamed cool, and the first episode did not disappoint. A large, eclectic cast, interesting, interwoven events, hints of the supernatural; does that sound familiar? I really look forward to learning about all the characters in the opening animation, and how they are going to connect. This looks like the first AAA title of 2010.

It was awesome seeing Baccano! playing on the big outside television, and it made me laugh when they were all standing around the cardboard cutout of Horo from Spice & Wolf, like she was part of the conversation.

This looks like an anime that everyone should check out.

argh cant wait for the next one am really enjoying the characters in this anime, not to mention the story line is keeping me guessing as to what direction its going in.

Episode 7 was badass, nice to find out how Shizou is so strong and why he hates Izaya so much, those teens playing the horses were so funny !WHACK!

Well for me, its everyone except Seiji.
As for episode 13, it was ok, we get to know more about 'The Slasher'
What i dont understand is the following.

Why would Selty pick up Shinra's dad ? I mean im pretty sure that guy did horrible experiments on her. I guess she really loves Shinra. The policemen are retarded btw.

It's 13 already. I thought that this was gonna end with 12 but it turns out that we're only halfway through. (Yea, I kinda forgot that the Slasher existed)

I don't think the experiments his dad did weren't particularly 'horrible'.As far as I remeraber, Selty doesn't seem to be too bothered about it.

Episode 01

I also caught the anime references, very cool subtle touches that made the realism and setting of the series more believable despite it's obvious fantasy. The OP and ED were pretty cool i like it. The series has a sort of bebop feel to it, the urban grunge and grit. It's a bit refreshing and i rated it an 8 already so i have high hopes for it. Plus Shinigami's are always cool - especially one that has no head and boobs.

Ah, after an epic few episodes it back to the norm...
13 blatantly tried to focus on The Slasher, yet nothing at all was explained about it. There's always hope for more in the future, but if it's some sort of imagination thing like Lil Slugger was in Paranoia Agent...****.

well, Shinra's dad did sort of...cut her open and all that. Which looked to be putting Celty in excruciating pain. Neither Celty nor Shinra seemed very enthused about his return, but what with filial duties and all that. Shinra has to fulfill his obligation as a son and Celty picks people up. So it's kind of just like another job for her. She did openly say she didn't much care for Shinra's father as well.

Celty seems to be sliding down the slippery slope from badass to weak woman role. Makes me a little sad on the inside. But her love for Shinra is becoming more prominent.

I'm glad to hear there is going to be more than 13 episodes of this series, I just watched 12 yesterday, can't believe that wasn't actually Celty's head on the girl after all that time of thinking it was.
