Durarara!

Episode 2 was a bit different from episode 1, but still very good. The tone was more soraber and introspective, as it mainly dealt with the girl who was kidnapped after being fooled into thinking she was attending a group suicide event. The unifying factor was, not surprisingly, the Dullahan. The really interesting character was the informer, the one who set it all up. Something in the way he talked made it seem as though he is a supernatural being, and very much a trickster type.

There is a lot going on here, and though I want to understand it all, it's much more interesting when the mysteries are peeled away slowly. It's just hard to be patient.

I very much like the art so far. This series feels very well made.

Episode 08

Well now we know for sure who has Celty's head and for what reason. I guess my question is who's body is that that has her head - i can't believe i didn't put the connection together since we've seen that girl with the scar on her neck since the beginning.

I love Celty and Shinra. Although, ugh, clearly he knows a lot more about Celty's head's whereabouts (such as how she originally lost it in the first place), and that is something that should have came up.

And I really hate his dad. I'm also wondering when some big fight will come up with the Yellow Scarves.

So Namie is the Slasher? Well, I guess we'll see. I didn't see the next episode preview so I have no idea what to expect.

I really like this anime so far, I've actually started reading the manga too just to see where it's at.
Shizuo is awesome. Now that I have that out of my system, I'm curious about the girl with the scar on her neck too. What I don't understand is the whole one with blue eyes and the other with brown eyes... it's two different people right - never mind the lighting fooled me.
I have a feeling despite all of Kida's efforts Mikado is still going to get very involved into the whole gang-like scene of Ikebukuro. Episode 5 made this thought stick.

Episode 02

I agree the production value of this is quite good, they've used much darker color palettes which give the whole thing a cinematic look. They've done a good job of making the Shinigami cold and heartless, but kind and forgiving as well. The trickster will definitely be a problem in the future, but they've laid a good character foundation. I'll for sure be adding this to the list.

Yeah, I have the same theory. I have a feeling that girl is a Dullan as well. Wow, so far it's pretty good. My favorite character is Izaya by far. He's so ... wow. I also doubt the blond guy (can't remeraber his name at the moment) and Izaya are human. One's way to strong and the other survives getting smashed by a vending machine. :S

It does appear that Animeace's theory could be true, nice call if it is, I wonder if the doctor who lives with Celty would of been the one to put the head on the other girl or if at least he knows it's her head, he really doesn't seem to want her to find it.

After seeing 2 episodes, I don't think the storytelling would be as good as in the novels. But the solid plot itself is already good enough.

Pretty compelling characters.

And as it seems like Shinra works for the people who are doing those things with the human bodies you have to think he knows about her head and possibly where it is, maybe it was even him who did the operation on the second Celty.

I've thought from the start that Shinra knows where her head is, and is probably trying to keep her from finding it. I'm sure he's afraid she'll go back to where she came from if she retrieves her memories. Now the question is, what kind of persona does the other Seltie have? And what exactly are they doing at that facility? Something is also wrong with glasses-girl, it was really strange how she took her shoes and immediately closed the door. I'm guessing it has something to do with her parents, or whomever she is staying with.

Headless Seltie is so cute. The way she got puffy about her food tasting weird, and how she patted her pillow after placing her fortune under it, that was just adorable.

The opening scene of the novel had someone who appeared to be the missing girl (Harima, Anri's missing friend) stalking Seiji into his apartment. Then inside one of his rooms, the girl accidentally discovered something which seems to have been Seiji's secret. The next instant, the only thing told to the readers is that Seiji did 'something' to her.

The only theory I could come up with is that somehow Seiji had been secretly keeping Selty's head because he had been infatuated with it. And then, when Harima found out about it, Seiji got Harima beheaded and replaced her head with Selty's head.

But that still doesn't explain about the slasher thing and other super powers.

Whats this, the legendary IcareAlot gracicng one of my threaRAB im honored.
Its been realy good so far, I think everyone will like it.
Feel free to post what you think about it after you see the first 4 episodes.

I was thinking the same thing

because her body and neck are two different tones, or so It looks like to me, but it's weird because Harima's face and what we assume to be Celty's head are very much identical. The only difference there would be is probably skin tone seeing as Celty is from Ireland. I'm not sure how Seiji can even fall in love with a head, that's a little creepy xD but if we were basing this entirely on looks Harima would have been just as good, all she probably needed was contacts and less sun. What I really want to know is what did his sister do and who exactly his sister is associated with, maybe Shinra seeing as he is a underground doctor and seems to love experimenting. And if that is right that would also explain a bit as to why Shinra is telling Celty that she doesn't need her head , or she's good the way she is, as if to coax her out of finding it.
