Okay, from my early posts I'm sure you realize I had absolutely no intention of ever seeing this film, but a friend who feels similarly to me has convinced me (which is quite a deal).

I'll wait for DVD, but now I do want to see it.

DG is a little over 96million worldwide. 92 from the US. it still hasn't been released in the UK yet..unless boxofficemojo didn't put the stats for that yet.

so next week we should be over 100million:)

Still confused on how anyone enjoyed this movie.

I found the first 15 minutes or so to be good--but it went downhill from there.

The acting was insanely bad--from everyone.

The directing was awful.

The pacing of the film was slow at most points..and choppy editing wise in others.

I'll give props to the makeup though--the girls eye make up was awesome.

But that is about it.

I just got done watching the Oprah special. I loved it!

Yep Christmas Day. Although I'm dieing to get into the sneak peek here in L.A.

I love Jennifer Hudson!!!

I just heard 12 extended musical numbers which makes me so incredibly happy!!!!!!! :yay:

Thanks for the details. I'm so excited. :blinkie:

I'll be first in line for the soundtrack. I can't wait!!

Well, I just saw the date listed as the 22nd in the newspaper this past weekend. Although they're having a limited engagement the 15th through the 21st at one movie theater here in L.A.

I love Listen!

My showing was totally packed out as well. And I also have to add that it was a very diverse audience which was awesome to see.

The theater I went to they gave us surveys to fill out about the movie. Half was to be filled out before the movie and the other half after the movie.

I absolutely loved the movie!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved the Jackson 5 ripoff!!!!

No standing ovation in my showing of the movie, but people were definitely clapping and cheering and crying.

I'll be back later with fave scenes and performances and more thoughts. I have so much to say!!

It may be less than 900 but it was PACKED.

We saw a 12:20 am showing of it because everything else was sold out. I had no idea that many people went to the movies on Christmas Day.

OMG, it was the best movie I've seen in a long time. The whole movie is just superb. Everyone in my theater clapped the whole time through And I Am Telling You (best performance in the whole movie) and you cry during it too.

All of the music and excellent. Eddie Murphy did a good job but Jamie should have got a GG nom. his performance was so real...you want to really hate him.

Ugg I love love love this movie

It's a true musical alright, they always break out into song:lol: everyone kept going "please don't sing" and when they did everyone screamed no.

The ripoff Jackson 5 is a hoot
