"Dragon Ball Kai" Saiyan Story Arc (#1-16) Talkback (Spoilers)

Peh, I don't care how much money they make (though you can bet it'd be an uber-buttload), I just want them to release it so I can get it. Now THIS is DBZ I can sit through a marathon of.

Yeah, Saiyaman dragged on way too long for my tastes, too. I don't give half a crap about Gohan helping a dinosaur reunite with his mom or strike the same cheesy poses over and over again for, like, ten episodes. I want him to bust some skulls. And if you don't have any interesting stories to tell with him, have his identity revealed already and get it over with. Of course, that's just my personal opinion.

Even if Japan is censoring on violence, Dragonball's been around since the 80's. Videogames, manga, and of course the anime. How can you censor if everyone knows the truth? It's the "Next Dimension" ploy 20+ years too late.

Anyways, I got a question. Did Raditz in episode 2 retcon Table and Turles?

In that episode, he said to Goku the lines of "Besides you, there are four others." Was he adding himself, so it would be Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, and Table, or was he not putting himself on that list, meaning Turles?

Even if that isn't the case, I see FUNi just using their same scripts again and slightly modifying them. Because DB is such a big money maker for them, they know they can be as lazy as they can and it will still get fans buying it.

Yeah, in the manga, Videl saw through his disguise the very first time they met. I seem to recall the dialogue going something like this:

Videl: Say, Gohan, how did you manage to sneak out of class anyway?
Gohan: I told them I had to go to the bathroom. But I suppose they'll start to wonder where I went if I don't get back soon...
Videl: AHA! I knew it was you!
Gohan: Damn, she found out!

Hopefully, they'll reanimate this particular part, as the DBZ-footage doesn't even have this scene in it, as far as I know.

Yep. that's how fast happened in the manga. I recall the first time I read the manga I was surprised how fast he arrived. The anime took more time to explore the complications of him falling off the snake way. The manga is pretty fast paced.

Well Raditz had to explain the backstory of the Saiyans and that Goku was an alien, which was a shock at the time given the Japanese saw Dragonball first and assumed Goku was human.

He was angry he, a super elite, would have to fight third class trash. It's reason enough to be angry for a guy like him (not to mention the scouter was useless anyhow).

Being the huge DB fan I am, I'm still not for sure if it's Dragon Ball, Dragonball, or DragonBall. I've seen all different ways LOL
