"Dragon Ball Kai" Saiyan Story Arc (#1-16) Talkback (Spoilers)

Actually, FUNimation got the later animation for Cha-La Head-Cha-La. The first animation never had SSj in them.


Good lord, I absolutely love the new opening and endings. It's too bad I'm so inept a writer I can't say how much I love them.

Additionally: Nozawa's Gohan is just as cute as ever. Dang, I love this show.
 
I must say, Toei's own editing is WAY better than FUNi's. You can't really notice that they edited that frame unless you actually compare it to the original. (Of course, that frame there might have been redrawn completely, like Vegeta and Nappa's introduction, which might explain it.)

As for that AF art, it's not bad. Aside from SSj5 Broli. Why people have such a fascination with a characterless character I'll never know...
 
Do you know how long its been since I heard the word "Makankosappo?" That'll be a great one to hear again.

(I was like, "Wait, it's not called Special Beam Cannon?")
 
We (i.e. the staff) once emailed FUNimation about the spelling.

I don't remeraber which is the official spelling though.

Oh, and it's one word. That I'm sure of (Engrish for the win!!)

Wow, I just took a look at what episode we'd be on normally and this was when Goku accidentally falls into hell. That's some serious good pacing (Why are people complaining about FMA:B's pacing and loving this)

I still feel like some parts could have been shortened like Goku's scream of rage when he saw everybody dead but still....man this is fast.

So I heard Kai is only 50 episodes? (You know, if this enRAB at the Freeza arc, it'll be...never mind)
 
No length is confirmed.

Wasted Wisher, a meraber of daizex.com forum's who works at Toei's Philipine's animation house estimates they'll be done around the fifty mark, but that can easily change.
 
Just saw episode 2. I might be in the minority, but I prefered the Ocean dub's pacing for the Raditz episodes over the original uncut version, just because it seemed to mooth much smoother. Seems DB Kai realized that and is speeding things up in a simmilar manner. It would be hilarious if Episode 4 enRAB the same time as the Ocean dub Episode 4. I'm praying that the year long training doesn't take that many episodes, with all the filler gone.
