About this episode, I'm a little upset they took out the scene where Vegeta and Nappa surmise WHY Gohan has as much as he does and then get into their poRAB.. I mean, I think they should've left that in...
 
Oh... But it seems like the important news would have to be either Kai or the special. Sure the answer now is "we don't have Kai", but last con the answer to another question was "the Dragon Ball season set thing is wrong", so they may again be denying to further the surprise (not that it worked very well last time), but then again, maybe not. Either way, a month isn't too long to wait to find out.
 
Wow, Toei's editing is really surprising me. I could understand censoring Goku's "little Goku", but editing Goku's hole to a bad wound seems like something Saban would have done back in the day.
 
Obviously, they're waiting for more episodes to be made. Though it would have been sweet to see a stream of it like what FUNi is doing with FMA, but I know what the chances are for that.
 
I think it would have been pretty awesome to see totally new animation based on the manga, especially considering the animation we have now is from over two decades ago.

The animation of Dragonball is really dated, just think of how much more amazing the fight scenes would look with the modern animation from the openings.

Ah well...maybe in another 20 years...
 
So, I take it episode 28 is taboo or something?



It was referenced in one of the later Bo-bobo chapters (after the time-jump), so I'd be very surprised if it's not known to some degree in Japan.
 
Well I've got to say... I'm dissapointed One Piece lost to it in ratings even after all these years but this is one episode that may not be a trend. If it is though... then it'll be clear that it doesn't matter how many times they replay Dragonball Z in Japan it's going to do well and better than most of the current top performers.
 
Wow those are cool. If I still played with my DBZ toys I'd totally buy them if this were 3 or 4 years ago. I may start collecting toys again some day as all of my toys from childhood are still in my room but have more dust on them when I try to organize them then under a couch. Those are sweet though. If SS3 Goku ever looked like that in the anime he's been 100 times more bad ass honestly. The Broly figure isn't much different from Broly because Broly was already bad ass in the 1st place so his toy doesn't do much. However it's better then the Broly toy I got about 6 years ago where he's just the big buff yellowish broly with lime greensih hair and all white eyes.
 
I doubt we're going to see Funimation license this for a long time, much less release it. They'll want to milk their uncut box sets for as much as their worth beforehand.

But yeah, I just saw the first episode. I'm impressed by how they rearranged everything. It's makes it flow very well. Not liking the new OP and ED though.
 
I was thinking that it meant those shows were open to more children than Kai, not that they were 'kiddy'.



If I am reading it correctly...I think One Piece was UP after last week (probably due to Kai).
 
You know what would be funny?

If funi decides to wait to long to get the rights to dragonball kai, and viz or media blasters some how aquires the rights to it, lol.
