If FUNi gets the series, I want a Blu-Ray release immediately.

I mean, holy CRAP that is some high quality animation! The song's pretty catchy, too; it does have a "Dan Dan" vibe, though it's much faster paced. The whole thing just drips of modern DBZ - in fact, it feels a bit like the openings to the Budokai games. Which is good, as those openings are luv.

...

But, yeah, good stuff. Can't wait until the American release.

This weeks pacing, I feel, was absolutely perfect. It was an entertaining episode that didn't feel like it was rush and really got the rest of the arc set up. I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of the episodes pan out, but I will say I hope they get the director of this episode to do more episodes in the future.

Additionally, all I hear is Luffy. Kuririn no longer exists, I fear...then again, Luffy's the best replacement.

When Kuririn's talking to himself about how he's going to break the news to Chichi I keep thinking "What would Luffy do?"

I so want some fan art of a Luffy version of that scene now.
 
Well here's hoping. I wonder why they didn't just announce it at Anime Expo. I guess they just want to keep people excited. That's fine by me. Announcing it some time this month is just as good.
 
There's this awesome Dream 9 promo airing on Fuji TV that uses new DB animation (my guess is that it's from the new opening) along with some awesome One Piece stuff. I hope someone can upload a HD video.

So would the term "remastered" apply to this? Guess not, because this is practically re-drawn and re-defined to have higher quality picture...idk
 
Well, when you consider when that originally came out, Goku dying was like Superman vs. Doomsday. You didn't think it could happen but it did anyway and we had to deal with it.

(Of course, given the amount of times stuff like this happens....)
 
Gregory is not in the manga? I did not know that.

BTW, is Great Saiyaman an anime only character? I just cannot picture Toriyama actually making that design.
 
That trailer was awesome, I wish we could see the result of Goku and Luffy doing the fusion dance, and let's say it makes even more excited to see DRAGONBALL Kai, 43 minutes from now
 
Luffy would probably be like "Oh, hey Goku's dead but don't worry we'll bring them back alive to the Dragonballs now excuse me but I got to go kick some Saiyan ass."
 
Pretty good. Although having such high definition awesome footage for the opening and closing with the same ol' fashioned footage sandwiched inbetween is kind of jarring. It caused me to compare the remastered footage to the new animation, rather than compare it to the old footage, which left me not much impressed with the remasters as I thought I'd be.
