"Dragon Ball Kai" Saiyan Story Arc (#1-16) Talkback (Spoilers)

There really wasn't much filler once Nappa and Vegeta arrived. The only fillers I recall are:
-Yajirobe taking advantage of the Saiya-Jin threat.
-The Kame House scenes.
-Nappa going on a genocidal rampage during the 3-hour wait.

Correct me if there are more.

Wow, I absolutely love the new opening and ending for Dragon Ball Kai. It's great, and I like that unlike the past openings and endings, they actually show moments from the series itself like Goku Vs. Vegeta. And for once, the villains get a fair amount of share of screentime in them, too.

Well, Kai is supposed to be closer to the Manga. Sure, the original Manga had more holes, but the DBZ Anime added about four gallons of blood that weren't there in the original.

Nope. I doubt that meme is even known in Japan.

Eight thousand it is, and always shall be.

But yeah, the delivery was awesome. It's Ry

I think its an honor as an animator to be respected so much for what he has done and that people want to emulate your work and try and work to make what you have done in animation better.

Yeah, it was practically gushing out in the original cut.

Call me what you want but, I found the death music to be a tad out of place. I mean, he's gonna come back.

To answer your question during a certain scene in Pokemon Episode, where Pikachu used one of his electric attack against some missile. As a result it caused a strobe effect that lasted 15 second and gave over 700 kiRAB seizures. As a result the animators of Pokemon decided to drop the strobe effect from Pikachu's lightning attack, and made the government enforce some rules. For some reason due to it, Porygon and none of it's evolutions has appeared in any of the anime episodes since.

The episode hasn't aired anywhere else due to it being banned by the Japanese Government.

It's sort of why every episode of every anime in Japan has a disclaimer at the beginning of it telling the viewer to not sit too close to the TV and watch it in a brightly lit room.

Well, even though the Opening/Ending was theme good, it didn't gave me that epic feeling like how the Cha-La-Head-Cha-La did! Not saying its bad people...The music was not half bad though.

I might even "NOW" watch Dragonball Kai! Even though I hate subs, but its worth it!

How's the show doing in the ratings? I mean we already know that Funimation will end up bringing the show here by 2010 or 2011 but I think the success of the show in Japan may play a bigger role in how quick they do it as well as possibly getting some new merchandising deals and maybe shopping it to a network. Also with this, the new OVA and the extremely long delayed DBO do you think that it's a possibility that Toei or Akira Toriyama or who ever produces the show will decide to commission a new series or maybe say 1 or 2 yearly OVAs to continue the DB legacy since it's evident it's still popular?
