"Dragon Ball Kai" Saiyan Story Arc (#1-16) Talkback (Spoilers)

Let's see, for episode 6 they showed scenes from Z episodes 11, 14, 17, 18 and 19. Looks like we're a little over halfway done with the Saiya-Jin arc.

I don't think anybody's being disrespected. It's because the original is so popular that this is even happening in the first place, after all.

This is also drastically remastering the series so that the art looks as good as it probably ever will. I'd say that's a good thing.

"They've gone to another dimension!"

(Yes, I know, that was the only edit that actually makes a lick of sense but it's still not right darn it!)

EDIT: Makes me wonder how their going to do the Freeza impaling Kuririn scene or the Freeza getting sliced in half by his energy disc scene.

So..

Trunks: Time to go home! Woosh!

Goku: Ok guys let's go home for intense training!

*everyone goes home*

*The next panel*

Goku: Wow two years go by fastttttttttttttttt...(or was it one year.)

>_> I demand the driving episode! That was the greatest filler DBZ had to offer.

Well, I'm not trying to be mean. I love all of the work put into the production, but it does beckon as to why it is they didn't redo the entire animation, though. Alas, my choice of worRAB could have been better.

Well, it's not like we haven't known such times had passed...but alas...

Anyhow, I suggest you guys check out Kanzentai.com for their awesome comparison guides between Kai and the original DBZ for both 'material cut' and other comparisons, like animation comparisons:

Only 11 episodes so far, good I can catch up no problem. Watched ep. 1 and 2 so far and I have to say I'm loving this so far. Its rekindling my love for this series. If these episodes look this good, I can't wait to see the Cell saga graphics.

Well I watched episodes 9-11, and maybe it is just me, but something seems off in these episodes. I mean the news crew appears out of no where, and something feels weird. Then again, it might just be from watching them weekly as opposed to several episodes at a time.

As fro the Blu-Ray, I'll wait until Funimation releases it, as they'll most likely do either saga sets, or they'll do 5 episodes a disc, which is fine with me since it will end up being only 10 volumes. I do have to say though, $35 for a Japanese Blu-Ray is cheap. I mean I just paid $150 for the next 12 episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5RAB.

Uh... I'm pretty sure everybody who works on the show is Japanese, seeing as its a Japanese show. So I don't see how that would factor into anything.
