"Dragon Ball Kai" Saiyan Story Arc (#1-16) Talkback (Spoilers)

Ah, that brings me back to the Blue Water days. (KA-MAY-YA-MAY-YA! )

OT, I just found this picture and I didn't want to make a new thread for it but luckily Goku's in it so...

That would be an awesome video game.

Is it just me, or did the animation seem off in episode 8? It seemed like some of the scenes were a bit blurry at times and then faded during other scenes.

Yeah, except some companies, especially FUNimation, have been licensing shows after fewer episodes have aired, sometimes before any have.

Nah, Funimation will probably get the license as soon as possible, but hold off on releasing it until a year or two down the road.

Personally, when they do release Kai, I really hope they include the Krillin/Luffy crossover bump as an extra. It'd be like additional advertisement for the One Piece DVRAB.

If we're lucky. I really hope CN give the 2 series a chance along with Naruto Shippuden. They could really feed off of each others success. If CN played their carRAB right they may pull this off. That's only if they're willing to take the chance.

Amazon Japan already has listings for the first fifty episodes on DVD and Blu-Ray, if anyone wants a home release that bad.

Hopefully FUNimation will be able to put all of the Saiyan arc episodes in one set...considering it'll only be 17-18 episodes long...

The first episode starts out with a brief recap of the events from Dragonball and the Bardock special, and the pacing is moving along quite nicely.

Wow, the almost similarities to the Saban dub at this point are almost uncanny.

I sure hope they don't censor when Freeza gets slice in half at the end of the Namek arc.

Remeraber Todd's on the production side as well so just because he wasn't in DBZ doesn't mean he isn't involved in the production or is at least aware of it. Regardless of whatever, he either let something slip or is pulling one over on the public. Still I liked hearing it brought up.

Good friggin' lord. The opening is gorgeous, and so are the other new bits of animation. Yamato's score is also of note. While not Kikuchi's score, it's still highly impressive.

You can really tell the cast is getting old, though. Raditz sounded like an old man, a really old man. Still, he's one badgrass brother...er...yeah...

Love the opening, it's absolutely epic. And the new colors...more so, even.
