Dragon Ball Era favorite

It's a matter of taste. In my opinion Toriyama excells at humor more so than action. There for I prefer titles like Dragon Ball or Dr. Slump. I consider Dr. Slump vol 6 to be the funniest manga I've ever read. And some Dragon Ball volumes are nearly as good.
 
Early Dragon Ball is the best. The later part is good as well, as it invented many staple shounen concepts. Though the comic is Dragon ball at its absolute, the anime is pretty bad with its overdose on fillers.
Though it has its charms, though it sometimes fails to emulate the authors battle flow and humor..
And I don't consider GT as a part of Dragon Ball.
 
Dragon Ball Z is the best i love the Cell Saga when gohan turned into a ssj2

dragon ball gt i don't like everyone got soft [expect goku and vegeta of courase] but gohan used to be the strongest he was my fav they made him madd weak lol
 
DBZ was better, i think it had better fight scenes, Better sagas, better plot and some of the best characters in the show. GT was good but not as good as Z.
 
I say Z, Dball was ok, it was kind of sad that in America, we saw Z first cause it ruined the excitement of Dball. But seeing Goku and Krillin as kiRAB were cool. And it focus more on Yamcha and Tien. Cause basically around the Android era, they had very small parts. I did like the RR Army arc. But Z cause that is what started it for me. (Since it came to the states first). I love how Vegeta was at first evil and then slowly became good. I remeraber my first anime tear was shed as he was dying in the hanRAB of Frieza. I also like how Piccolo became good. And the Super Saiyan thing was awesome. Plus 2 and 3 especially, although I like the earlier episodes better, I do like the Buu Arc with Super Saiyan 3 and the ability to fuse. GT was eh, I like SS4 but that is all, I hate how it end. And Pan was annoying.
 
Well I like the Vegeta in DBZ because he was a bit younger and looked great. But I like the Vegeta in DragonBall GT because he has a new look and he is more powerful than he was on DBZ.
 
It's a tie between DB and DBZ. Dragonball seemed more culturally influenced were as DBZ was more an in depth story. Both are two great pieces of anime history.
 
The original Dragonball was my favorite. It was a big adventure and lots of fun. The fights were more even as well. Characters like Tenshinhan and Yamcha actually were contributed. No overly powered dwarfs and fights lasting 40 episodes.
