I think the new Moto2 class will really kick Dorna back into touch.

At first I hated the idea of losing the 250's but after seeing the new bikes : http://s307.photobucket.com/albums/nn309/wiggysan/Misc_MotoGP_pics/Moto%202/?albumview=slideshow I cant wait for them !

The new rules "should" help.

I like the idea of getting rid of launch control and some of the other new rules. Will it safe the championship. NO.

But its a good start.

The best thing Dorna can do to save MotoGP is bring back the 990's and make the " works / private " teams have the same [ ish ] spec as the " Factory " bikes.

I prefer to think that they should make up their minds about what they want to do and stick with it. I hate to compare the best sport in the world to the worst (f1) but I still think the reason F1 went stale was they made the cars so equal. which creates a procession, no where to out brake or overtake. I dont think at this level there is that much difference in a rider to make up the difference in the bike. (put Rossi on last years kawasaki and West on the M1 and I would be backing West) they need to allow a team to gain an advantage to create competition. they always catch on and catch up eventually. its been pointed out before there is a physical limit to how far grip levels and brake and acceleration can go. I say let them find it.
I still maintain it is PROTOTYPE racing. I dont care if any of it filters down to road bikes. thats what superbikes are for. and the tech stuff from GP does go down to SBK level. (check this years R1)
sorry for going on. but my answer is to leave it alone and give it time to heal.
its not really 2 down as Sete is on a new ride (5 Ducati's)

Valentino Rossi thinks WSB is more exciting than motogp now...and thats Valentino saying that, what do you think can be done to get the motorsport back on it's feet?
