Don't Tell The Bride - BBC 3

It was Nathan (the farmer, who made the reception in a cattle shed) and Nicky's wedding last night.
The TV announcer said that there is one more episode of "Don't Tell The Bride" to go next week.

This episode was odd.
First of all the narrator kept on at the poor mother of the bride for being worried an disappointed not to be involved in the preparations.
I really felt for that mother but Nicky seemed oblivious to her mother's feelings.
Secondly the behavior of the "stag" party on the canal was dangerous and irresponsible. I was suprised it was shown on TV.

However, apart from the portaloos, :D
I liked the effort that Nathan had put into the reception.

Hi, I'm writing an article for a leading women's weekly magazine, focusing on people look back on their experience of being on Reality TV. I'd love to hear from people who have been on this programme and whether they thought it was a positive or negative experience!

Please email me on [email protected]

Thanks

I know what you mean, but as a mother I wouldn't have wanted to see my daughter worried and upset before her big day either.
I don't think Mum was completely unreasonable. She wanted to be sure that her daughter would be happy on the wedding day.
The invitations could have been sent out earlier.
Also the little bridesmaiRAB would not have had dresses that fit them if mother hadn't have made that phone call to Nathan.
She must have bit her tongue many times and her daughter really could have been a ilttle kinder to her and calmed her down.
That daughter will miss her caring mother.

I agree that the idea of the programme is a free wedding to take part in a TV programme,
But it does make me wonder if the bride and groom want to deliberately push other family members out of the frame.

I thought there was an american-ish twang to the singing

My comment referencing the best man was linked to the comment that i referenced

I thought that mother was really creepy. The fact that she had decided in her mind what wedding dress her daughter should have and constantly refered to the day as ''her dream'' was just weired! That wasn't about love it was about control. She had a manic look in her eye everytime her daughter dared to dissagree. *shudders*

And what was that pointless trip to Paris all about?!! I think she had a screw loose personally.

Just watched this episode and dont worry that mother was in on it all the time IMO

The mothers outfit matched exactly with the colour theme, IMO all of them had decided that the colour would be the same as the Landrover
As for the cupcake wedding cake it was highly suspicious that the wedding cup cakes we decorated the same as the ones in the brides mothers house

As for the wedding dress, suprise suprise both the bride and MOB loved his choice after the MOB was so pernickety about her DIAMONTES

IMO they gave him orders on where to go, who to book and exactly what to do before the wedding

It was all just to convenient that everything fell into place
