One technician said the 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee speaker system is complex. He says wiring is difficult with the stock infinity system because he needs to bypass the stock amp under the seat. He says I should switch my factory system for an aftermarket system to make things simpler. I really don't want to change my factory cd player and radio. He quoted me for component speakers of $150.00 and it needs rewiring, causing an extra 40. Also he came up with a price for the aftermarket system. He said 50 dollars for installation and the brackets, mount, and harness it would run me close to 180. Is this true. Is the 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee is that complex? By the way what's the size of the speakers in both front and rear doors? Do I really need component speakers or can I get regular speakers?

You need to go to www.crutchfield.com because everything he said you can research it on the website to find out if it's even true. Most of the technicians are right when they tell you that you might need an extra part or two.

When you go to the website you need to go to Outfit my car, it will ask you what your make, model, year and what kind of radio you have in your car. After that it will tell you what size speakers you have in the front, middle and back of the vehicle.
