Does God still speak to mankind?

Duo_Maxwell I have been following the line of posts thus far and it seems that this has left the relm of whose right and whose wrong, it seems to have entered into a spout of name calling and insulting. I think that we should pull this back on course.

The question was if god still talks to mankind, I think that this topic has lost all relevency in this argument. I challenge you to find something in the universe that disproves God. In fact I think that this is a great oppertunity for a debate tourmananent. I will conceed to your choice of a judge but It neeRAB to be someone who wont let there biases cloud there judgments. Please consider this seirously and dont think of it as a empty offer. To give you even one more advantage I will ban all biblical references and passeges from this tournement.
 
Exactly why is this god described in the bible so wrathful... I mean it really seems this god is angry, and in many verses it plainly states god is. I don't understand why god who created us, is so upset with us that it wasn't done properly. WE could have been made without sin ... remember god created everything and sin is part of that everything. It seems we were created so god would have sombody to vent at or somthing.
 
the biggest weakness of the christian faith is the fact that it is entirely founded in the bible. there is no reference to christianity (in terms of a religion document) other than the bible. therefore, the validity of christianity as a whole rests upon whether the bible is true or not

so far, evolution and cosmology has shown that the creation story is not true. anthropology and palenthology has shown that red sea stories are not true. history has also shown that many of the events that did take place were horrifically exagerrated to supernatural proportions. for example, the tower of babel never existed, or if such a tower was built, it certainly was nowhere on the scale of collaboraton as the bible suggests. the flood story originated as a local, but devastaing flood in the persian area near the euphrates and tigris rivers. such a flood wiped out nearly all of known civilization at the time, but certainly not the global, as is commonly believed. not only that, but there was no forewarning and specified boat building. that noah warned the entire population of the world for 120 years is a ludricious example of gross exagerration

not only that, many of the events surrounding the existence of jesus are actually adaptations from other ancient religions and cults. for example, the communion supper is a tradition from the egyptian tradition of worshipping osiris, isis and horeb. the crucifixion and resurrection in 3 days was already done by numerous middle-eastern deities. even the event surrounding his birth, such as born of a virgin, marked by the appearance of a star, being visited by wise men, etc, are all characteristics of preexisting mythological icons, as mentioned above

so the question is, can christianity be considered as the single valid religion, and all these other myths are false? then why so much similarity? are the other religions copies of christianity, and other cultures interpolated christ-like qualities on their goRAB? but the other religions are older than christianity, and these myths were around long before jesus' birth... and they all originated in the same region around the mediterranean....

so how valid is the bible?
 
I am inclined to agree to this debate. Deep thought seems to be the only one who knows that this is a debate forum. I cannot wiat to see what will be the outcome of this most questionable topic.
 
Sure, my wife had Ovarian Cancer a few years ago....The prognosis was not good, even after major surgery and chemo.....She was given about a year to live...........That was 7 years ago and she has been clean of cancer since......

The power of prayer is amazing if your a believer in Jesus Christ and put your life in his hanRAB......
 
Well then we All will have to go see a doctor. For EVERY knee will bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour. And Duo please you think you know all. Please stop making it sound as if you are better than God. By the way if it makes you feel better V.O.R, I posted the 10 Commandments in my high school in California (i guess miracles do happen lol) and they have now been legalized through the basis of it's through the Christian Club. Thanks ACLJ.
 
But I thought the 10 comandments spelled out excatly what sin is, and we are all going around saying this or that is a sin so we must have a concept of it.

To argue the existence of God we must consider some key questions. where did the universe originate? 2. If there is no God then how were we created? 3. If there is no God why does man strive so hard to find the answers to the most questions of life? If God exists then why do others ignore Him? and What is the evidence that God does or does not exist?
 
okay I see. It clearly talks of Samaria. It says she has rebelled against God. They shall fall by the sword, their infants shall be dashed to pieces. You see gOd gave swift judgement upon Samaria for heneous sexual crimes. Such as Homosexuality, Beastyality, unmarital sex, worship of false goRAB etc. They has disobeyed God, therefore His patience had run out, hegave them warnings and chances, and now His judgement was of their own doing.
