Does din matter in acar stereo?

I need a car stereo, it is 1.5 din. What if i got a double din? or what if i got 1 din? I do not want the radio to look stupid but not many choices for 1.5din, please help!
 
Your best option is probably a single-DIN head unit with a mounting kit designed to make it fit in your dash. This is extremely common with GM and Chrysler vehicles, and the mounting kits are very easy to find. Installing a double-DIN unit would usually require modification of the vehicle's radio cavity and dash panel.
 
get 1 din if you want single. 2 din if u wana fill up the whole space..
1 din is better so you have another slot for random shit ;)
2din if u wana full dvd player and some black kid to smash ur car and steal it.
 
if you get a double dim you would have to cut around the car to make it fit, 7 inch double din dvd players are more popular over here but i thing the single dins look better
 
yeah what kind of car u got..? myself .. i would go with a single din .. well unless u got cash to blow... single din would give u that lil extra space for like smokes and a lighter or a phone or whatever... but like the other guy said people would wanna steal it if its too big or fancy.. Now i would go to crutchfeild.com and put in the details about your car and it will show u what will fit and what won't... getting a exact size stereo would mean that u don't gotta buy installation kits for it wich would probly be 15-20 bucks ohh and don't forget the wire harness that clips right in your old factory wire clip theres another 10-15 bucks.. but yeah i check that site out.. give u a idea about what would fit without modification... wich that means hack saws and a steal file.. hehe
