This question's fairly vague. I'm not sure what areas are "moral" for a police officer, as their primary concern is the law, which in most cases does not allow police officers to make moral-based decisions. Generally the officer has to accept the worst-case charge, charge them, then it is up to the courts to determine the truth, and any morality issues that go along with it.
