My boyfriend has a seven month old Doberman who he is training pretty harshly I must say. He has him in a choke chain (the chain with the spikes) and hits him pretty hard. I have asked him to stop and explained to him that he is a puppy so he will play, be energetic and explore the unknown. I on the other hand let the pup jump all over me and baby him to death. There is no discipline coming from me. I have warned BF that the dog is going to be fearful and might possibly turn on him. Of course he doesnt believe this. My question is can the dog distinguish that I am the nice one and BF is the disciplinarian? I am scared that when the dog does turn he wont know who to turn on and might turn on me. I have not expressed this to BF but plan on doing it today.
