Do you think you would have the same beliefs if you were brought up in a...

Everyone would love to say yes, but in reality the chances are that peoples beliefs would be different if they were brought up in another culture. The fact that so many people of the same beliefs happen to live in the same places is proof of this.

Good question. I think I was brought up in different cultures all at once so I wouldn't know. I was born in one country, moved and raised in another, but a lot of the culture from my country of origin was still present as my family raised me. I also live in an area that's full of people from other cultures so I see a lot of that, too (different race, religious background, religious customs in relation to country of origin, etc.).

Maybe if I was only exposed to one culture, my beliefs would be different. Then again, my beliefs are deeply rooted in my curiosity and understanding of what I don't know (I've been told I'm the only one in my family who's like this) so maybe I would end up with the same beliefs, but through a different method.

(John 8:32) and YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free.”

It doesn't matter where you are Bible truth will find you if you want it.I have a friend who is an Irani she never would worship idols even as a child. Her parents tried to force her they was afraid she would be murdered but she would not.She started working for Exon and stole a BIble from her bosses desk, came to Australia and then to America and now she is telling others the good news from God's word.

I don't know. My parents, though partially Christian, never mentioned religion to me. So I just went with what I thought was logical-No Religion. Who knows what religion I would have if I were raised somewhere else. I kinda wished I'd been raised a Wiccan, that would have been cool.

It's very likely I would have different beliefs if I were raised in a different culture.

On the other hand, I think God put me in this culture to be raised this way for a reason... mull that one over!

yes, i would again chose to be an atheist.
if given the same situation would happen, just different culture.
i thought about that. if u just change the culture. but would have my family been like that?? who knows. that would be the point where it may had an influence on the outcome of everything. but i was like this from childhood on. i was not educated in religion, more self education, and no one persuaded me to atheism. i had my own trials that proved me that religion is not the way to be successful in life. we are meant to have some dealings where great lessons may be learned. there are no sure-fire answers to it.
but i think i would be still atheist.
