crime, education, everything? Since the 2nd. World War western nations have progressed at an amazing rate..
But is this all sustainable?
Is it going to fizzle due to lack of funds?
What do you think? Thanks.
If things continue the way they are, it won't be sustainable. It is up to people themselves now-greed got us here, survival instincts need to get us out.
Where I live I have to say as yet I can't see any real changes to peoples attitudes/culture. Apart from some of them 'playing' at being frugal/pious.
Personally I think as long as the basic framework of health provision and care for the vulnerable stays in place then the rest can go whistle....I find it very hard to feel any genuine compassion towards those whose eye is always on acquisition and protection of their own 'manor'.
It will be interesting to see WHO weathers the storm, if the storm materialises.
No it's not sustainable. Corporations biggest drag are pension fund obligations which are the first to go when the file bankruptcy - and there has been a lot of that since 2001. There isn't enough population expansion to keep the current rate of economic expansion growing long term which is required for a healthy free market economy.
