Having spent time in southeast Asia, I have learned to respect Asian culture, at least as I was able to understand it. Unfortunately, there is a huge disconnect between cultures because of the suspicion each one has towards the other.

I believe that most Asians learn about Americans from the military establishment, and this is an unrealistic view of the American people. Many military personnel are young and uncultured. When they do have the opportunity to comingle amongst the natives of a country, it is in the bars, dance halls, and amongst the prostitutes. This is hardly a realistic evaluation of a people or its culture, from either perspective.

I can't speak for all white people, but I enjoy the people of the Asian countries I have visited. It would be unable to enjoy these cultures, if I looked down on them and I believe many people feel the same way.

Two of my most loyal friends here in the US are Phillipine immigrants. We have worked and socialized together for over eight years, and our friendship has stayed strong.

Uh, blacks have problems with Asians, not whites. Blacks have bigger problems with hispanics too. These things aren't discussed in media because of political correctness, which is probably why you're ignorant about it.

I'm in Japan now, been to Korea, Taiwan, China, Singapore also. Asians are very nice people. I've lived in Atlanta, can't say the same for the majority of folks there.

Yes, Asian culture is fascinating. I must confess that I like Asian women more, however.

I don't think white people look down on Asians. I mean, some obviously do, but of blacks, Latinos, and Asians, I'd say Asians are definitely on the receiving end of redneck racism far less than the other two.

You have it wrong its not the people we dislike , we have our own culture, And we do not understand other cultures as you most likely do not understand ours , That is the way the world works , all cultures are developed in the atmospheres of the country and a way of life that is totally different from others, and when the two overlap then misunderstandings develop that is not you fault or ours. We are all human beings and have the right to like or dislike what we want to as long as we do not try to change others to suit ourselves. Ba proud of your culture as we are of ours and we will all get along.
